If we have a run of home form like we have last season next then good look getting home and cheering your support for this fellas because I have absolutely no doubt the it’ll be horrendous in the stadium .

Each manager is an individual, the pressure simply isn’t the same in every situation that’s why the pressure after one defeat isn’t the same than after five and why appointing this bloke who effectively starts on three or four defeats feels mad to so many of us. It was rumoured Carlo got a big bonus for avoiding relegation. So I imagine Rafael has something similar. There will be others, cup wins, Europa League spot, champions league spot etc.

I pushed for Rafael here in 2019 when I thought Carlo was too lofty a target.

Do I think he's a great manager at this stage? No I don't.

But David Moyes has West Ham playing European football this upcoming season.

Give Rafael the time and space to implement what he wants to implement. If he fails, it should be solely on him. The fans should not allow their "discontent" to be used as an excuse.

Have you got a link to this Carlo relegation bonus rumour ? Also if Benitez has an agent than can get him £3m for keeping a team up that finished 20 points above the relegation places I hope he’s giving him a right few quid because they’ve certainly earned it and I hope however moshiri has agreeing to it doesn’t let usmanov see those working outs.

Not my no.1 choice.
But Spurs ended with Nuno and Real got that utter fraud the star whisperer so there were poor pickings this summer on the managerial front.
Never have cheered against Everton and always hoped all managers and players alike do well at kick off day 1 of the season. Then I see Iwobi warm up and all the kumbayah rubbish goes out the window!
But the hope that we progress has not changed.
Anyone booing our manager / team before we have even kicked a ball needs to have a good look at themselves and maybe get out a wee bit and develop some other interests, while keeping Everton close to their hearts.
If this Moshiri experiment does not work out, we could well join the litany of clubs that a new stadium ultimately proved to be a disaster for.
Be careful what you wish for.

Again if you listened to the interview that Moshiri gave today, fan sentiment scuppered at least 1 manager that he may well have kept on, and 1 who he would potentially have hired. And thats not even mentioning Silva who he didnt want to sack at the stage he did.

Keep dreaming but unless we struggle and end up in the bottom few spots Benitez will at the minimum serve his first 2 years of his contract and likely his 3rd if he has us around where Carlo did or hopefully higher.
