Well Allardyce and Silva managed it, with similar resources.I think Guardiola would be happy to keep this lot out of the Championship never mind take them to the Champions League

very unlikely to succeed, when our own so called fans, throw insults at him from day one. I am not over the moon about the appointment, but calling him FSW and the likes, is counter productive. Yes, he was a Kopite, yes he said something derogatory about the club about 18 years ago, yes he wouldn't be anywhere near the job if most of us had our way. But he's here, and the feller who owns the club, wanted him here. So were just going to have to take it on the chin.So it goes back to the point about why bring him in at all? Why confront the fans in such an agressive manner?
Moshiri made it clear today in in his interview that he was deeply affected by previous protests, but the fan base will never accept a 12th place FSW team. Not in a million years, despite your attempts to sugar coat the issue.
Haha you think a 12th placed FSW is going to be in a job the following season?
Certainly need to recruit well this summer.Yeah it got a bit heated towards the end of Silva as well I thinl mate - the defeat at home to Norwich had some shouting at Kenwright to sack him.
I think the penny is dropping with the fans though that a handful of players aside the squad we have is very average and other clubs around us have/are recruiting better.
The sad reality is we are a 7th-11th team at present and need to start recruiting better.
Exactly....I honestly believe the squad of any football team is the absolute determiner between success and failure. The manager can point them in the right direction but they can’t be successful with a poor squad and a very good squad will still be competitive to a degree even if the manager is a not so good.Well Allardyce and Silva managed it with similar resources.
Again if you listened to the interview that Moshiri gave today, fan sentiment scuppered at least 1 manager that he may well have kept on, and 1 who he would potentially have hired. And thats not even mentioning Silva who he didnt want to sack at the stage he did.Why wouldn't you be?
You really think Usmanov is arsed on his Yacht in the Baltic seas that Kev The Rat is booing the manager for finishing 12th in the table?
Exactly so absolutely no need for the likes of the waiterExactly....I honestly believe the squad of any football team is the absolute determiner between success and failure. yeah because the crowd reaction and pressure from the fans with the stadium to the results from ‘Carlo fantastico’s ‘ side to one manager by Benitez will be identical right ?Unless Benitez has us in the bottom few places he'll be here for the next 2-3 years whilst BMD is built and the club finds some long needed stability.
You may not like that mate but it is what it is - support the team or its going to be a boring 2-3 years without footie for you.
I think it's poorly worded and is supposed to say £15m over two years, which would roughly tie in with the £7m a year quoted by the Athletic.
It's 15 per year after hitting certain parameters.
like the £3m for keeping us up you mentioned the other day ? We’ve gotta dream big right ,what do you suggest he gets for mid table £20 m??
lol Yep I don’t like the appointment and any other manager you could name could probably get the same rubbish from the current squad but we don’t have a say who is appointed. If Benitez does well I will be happy for the club but not him. If he does badly he will be gone within a year and we can wait with anticipation for the next lamb to the slaughterExactly so absolutely no need for the likes of the waiter
Yes it does , clearly it does to a lot of us . Obviously not for you and that’s fine but I’d wouldn’t particularly like Dalglish or McMahon next , that said I’m sure plenty here would explain why we’d need to get behind it and it’s a cracking decision and the only other option was Eddie Howe .Does it really matter who the manager is or isn’t at this point ? We have a poor / unbalanced / underperforming squad in need of a major overhaul. There seems to be little focus or consistent direction from the board level down. I think the manager is the least of our worries right now !
Ha haCarlo was on a similar deal.
