Reckon Benitez is as good a manager as Moyes?

When we first got David Moyes he was full of energy and enthusiasm for the job. If we had been able to back him properly then who knows how far he could have taken us.We definitely crushed his spirit in the end that's why it ended badly.
Beni could not have worked under the restrictions that Moyes did he would have threw his dummy out of the pram.
Who is the better manager a young Moyes or the Benitez of today I would say Moyes

He was behind Liverpool signing Raheem Sterling and Shelvey for one and stated that they needed to get youth in from other clubs as well as their own processes. I think both were signed for under £3m.

Look at what he did when Newcastle were relegated ... Signed young players and proted lascelles to captain

Not sure on his transfer record overall but I think that alot of it was resource driven.

Presumably the youth players have to be good enough to play right , you’re obviously a big Evertonian who do you suggest had been wrongfully held back by previous management and is ready to tear up the prem ?

Wrongfully "held back" or not given a chance despite senior pros strolling round where a league 2 footballer wouldn't be a worse option?

Rafael doesnt respect reputations..... He sees players as cogs and when one cog isn't doing what it's told - he will put in another cog.

He had the bottle to drop Terry, so I really do not think he will have any issues in dropping Gylfi and putting a lad on desperate for a chance.

I love this idea that Benitez is a revolutionary football manager that , and wait to have your mind blown , if players don’t do what he says he’ll replace them . If only other managers realised that masterstroke the entire game would be transformed .

It blows my mind that someone perpetuates the idea that a manager who has won multiple trophies sat at Everton and watched underperforming players fail repeatedly and thought what I wont do is replace them with these youngsters who are definitely good enough but continue with these jokers .

You honestly think I'm naïve enough to answer the debate on that?!

My point is..... If the senior players do not perform as asked - Rafael will put them in their place by giving the likes of these lads a chance. Not because they are better - which is the predictable route you are trying to go down ...... But because it puts a message out. Danny Murphy said he will almost certainly do it and the players who fall foul will be surprising.

Which is why the fans need to realise that Rafael is necessary.

I don't know how many sterile performances with players not caring the fans need to see to realise that the players are having them off.

I think the board know that we have a culture problem and it needs some serious tough love. It will get worse before bit gets better. It will expose the real culprits at the club.

I’ll tell you what blows my mind that in any what you’re anything but a water carrier for our , sorry correction my , new manager . Now as it happens I hope he succeeds at the club but because I love it and it means an awful lot more to me than someone like you could ever understand.
Plenty of others here are supporting the appointment but are doing so as Evertonians and it’s clearly different to you and your obvious agenda .

Keep doing you and earning your money or his love whatever it is you crave .

I completely agree in principle with dropping under performing players who can't be arsed in favour of younger hungry players regardless of whether they are not as good a player as those that they are replacing.
However whether Benitez would drop , let's say Richarlison and replace with Gordon in a potentially toxic environment I'm not so sure.
