It would.
I have to say, I don't like the bloke particularly but Luckily that isn't how you judge a manager. Alex Fergusson was a horrible piece of work but he did alright. Carlo was a man I would of asked to be god father to my children I loved the man but he did diddly squat for us as a club. Benny could well be the man to shake up the team and the cloob, change some apathy into bite. He also comes across well in interviews if I'm honest... . I wish him the very best for Evertons and our sake.
Completely agree, very intelligent post. I know it's entitled to say it but this club and its history really needs a cup to stay relevant as the game is going more and more global.

Everton tried a lot of managers... You can see the results. Koeman, Ancelotti....etc.

If you aren't aware, Napoli came calling for Rafael twice during his Newcastle tenure, but he refused to ditch NU at that point of time.

Valencia regrets, Napoli regrets....

Having 7 teams above us in terms of quality and stability, and the only man who can take up the challenge and do better is Rafael. He can do better with a decent budget.

You want Jose, Ancelotti or Conte, you have to spend big bucks... Tuchel wants Haaland for 150mn. You want a younger manager, but they don't have the expertise, most of them were one season wonders.

He ditched Newcastle to go and collect fat stacks in China???

Not really. It was a set of generic phrases mumbled by a washed up old man. He obviously can't inspire himself, how can he inspire players? He knows he won't get significant funds to improve the team and has no ability to overachieve with current players.
It will be a dull, sad and hopefully short period of Everton history.

And why a people keep repeating "if he brings as a cup" thing? I'm sure if my cat won us title, all the fans would be over the moon. Should we sign my cat? She is not a fat kopite by the way.
That's your opinion mate but he's here now. Give him a chance. I think the cup talk comes from Benitez having a good record in knockout tournaments.

Why? Why is AF such a terrible human being?

Why? Why is Ancelotti such a wonderful guy?

I'm just wondering. Does not have that impression of AF at all. He comes from the old school, and has brought with him some good working class values.

Cmon PEP is not as good as people make out. Barca was in their prime...
If you see the stats since XAVI HERNANDEZ departure in 2015, they have not done well in Europe..

But of course with such a huge team and expenditure, only Barca or Madrid will win, they have Messi...

Anyway atm, Barca are suffering if you see their financial status. It was a ridiculous to ditch Suarez, who came back to bite them.

Man City won the league with Mancini, Bayern was winning the league before pep and are winning after pep. But he could never succeed in Europe with these top clubs. Still he spends 50mn+ on each defender every window.

For PEP Europe is measure of success... PL & other cups are normal with that squad...

Conte does really well in the league and cups but fails in Europe.
You're genuinely discrediting Pep Guardiola to big up Benitez.

I'm not taking this seriously at all.

I’m actually quite on board with it all now. He wasn’t my choice but what can you do. Can’t be any worse than the last 6 months. It’s all about the new recruits at the end of the day, otherwise even Pep would fail with this bunch of dicks.

He finally left Newcastle, because Ashley chose not to renew his contract.. He wanted to renew it.. but Ashley did not. He only left after the season ended. That is leaving the club...

No wonder Ashley didn’t want to renew it, he was probably demanding ridiculous money and Ashley knew he could get the same results by paying Steve Bruce a quarter of the salary. And he was right.

You don't need to. Just my opinion that's all, Why he left Bayern, Ok Barca I agree may be he has done enough.

Your only as good as what you have in front you.

Do you know why did he lose the Champions League final against 4th placed Chelsea?

This was not a difficult one by Man City standards... But still he failed. That is a failure for Man City fans..

It was there for taking. but he screwed up big time

Why would Ashley choose not to keep an manager on who is so perfectly adapted to getting Top 10 clubs in to Europe?
And then replace him with Steve Bruce?

Like Benitez when he lost to Milan in 2007 pal.

There's a reason why Guardiola's last clubs have been Bayern and Barca and Benitez last ones were Newcastle and Daifeng.

Actual comedy here.
