I honestly must have watched a different Everton to you guys mate as that crazy first 9 or so game winning streak aside he was constantly in and out of the team injured and for every game he did something great (Anfield Derby pass) he had other games he was completely anonymous/out of the game.

I always say our lack of quality makes us over rate our better players. Gomes is a perfect example when he came on loan - had some very good games but also some very annoymous ones yet because the fans were so used to Tom Davies and Gyfi Siggurdsson bumbling around the midfield he was billed as some Portuguese Scholes.

In a similar vein McNeil is obviously way better than his 2 assists or whatever it was suggests.

Not that we will be getting him because he will cost actual real money.

Eh? This was the exact same expectation we had for Ancelotti so there's no difference.

Ancelotti disappointed but had the benefit of not being an ex kopite to buy him breathing room. Benitez gets no such leeway from me.

Unfortunately not. We may as well have played them on Sefton Park last season.

We beat Liverpool for the first time since 2010, that was the accomplishment.

Doesn't seem like that, people are setting him up as a failure from the start.

He's so far been given 1.5 million to spend, a mile off Ancelotti. If he finishes on a better points tally than Ancelotti even by 1 point he's doing a good job. The squad is miles off top 7. Why can't you stand him? Do you know him personally?

This squad was 3 points off top 7 last season. Hardly miles. We will be further away from it with benitez in charge.
