it's like you're saying Moyes was given loads to spend when we sold Rooney and lescott. But reasonable people will say, he was given no money other than what he could generate. And that is key.

But are refuting that he spent £150m which he did. As in his time there were £150m of incoming players.

And most championship players are probably not even worth £10m, so for him to sell two players for £60m and be allowed to reinvest that going into the championship, gives him a huge headstart over the rest of the championship. As he could buy 6 players worth more than most teams best player is worth.

There will certainly come a point this season when we go on a bad run but that's when calm heads must prevail - its easy to blame Benitez but he's not had the chance to rebuild this squad and we cant keep legging managers every 12-18 months and keep the same dossers.

The bloke is ultimately a Champions League, Europa League & La Liga winning manager - yes that was years ago but he still has a track record of being able to achieve when at the right club/circumstances.

We simply have to give him 2 seasons and see where we are from there and pray funds are there next summer to bolster the squad.

Ancelotti won more and more recently and you couldn't even last a season before you called for his head.
