@davek and @ForeverBlue92 and all you other Benitez fans

Let's hear your predictions for this run of fixtures under our Super Manager.

Spurs
Brentford
City
RS
Arsenal
Palace
Chelsea
Leicester

I am saying 2 points. Obviously that should see him sacked if it happens.
No Benitez fan but would 15 from 24 be enough to make up for the last few games? wins against Leicester, Brentford and Palace and then two wins against one of those 'bigger' sides?

We do this all the time though - say a bottom half team is an easy win and we get beat (Fulham, Sheff Utd, Newcastle last season, Watford, Villa this one) then bed wet that a Spurs, Leicester etc will put 7 past us and we go and win one.

Football isnt won on paper if it was the bookies would be out of business - get DCL, Doucoure and Mina back in the team and we'll be where we always are come the seasons end - 8th-12th.

An upper midtable irrelevant boring club.

Or one of several other young managers which there are around Europe.

Go on. Tell us how many you expect him to win.

Don't weasel out of the question. Back your man.

Made we had Carlo Ancelotti and were still an absolute mess. Our problems go beyond the manager... the board and Moshiri.

The club is broken and no mistake.

Though Carlo was a proper football manager to be fair, we were a mess when he took over and a mess now hes gone, i know people will criticise him, but given our indicative performances now, he really wallpapered over the cracks and the limits of our squad. Shows what a good manager can do.

He's not my man. I never wanted him and didn't ask for him.

I support Everton, not Benitez.

And the next manager you want and ask for others on here / at the ground wont and we go around in circles.

Ancelotti was the last manager we've had since Kendall that united the fanbase - even Moyes was split towards his latter years.

Its a pipe dream that the next steady eddie appointment wont have 50% of the fanbase on his back the first bad run of form we go on.

He did a good job, just a pity how he ditched us.

A mixture of us having no money, and Real Madrid, so can't really blame him

The next manager will have 90% plus support after this awful period. Any slight bit of hope and people will get behind it.

We are in a hopeless situation at the minute, and football without hope is pointless.

More than anything, I think he's just another outmoded manager whose past accomplishments are enough to keep him going, like Mourinho and Ancelotti, but since his record isn't nearly as glittering as theirs, he isn't on the radar of second-tier glamour clubs anymore.

I don't think he'll do any better than Allardyce would have if he'd been allowed to keep the reins for a few years.
