I honestly doubt it. Fans turned on Koeman 8 games into his 2nd season after guiding us into Europe. Alladyce was hated early doors despite doing an "ok" job.

Fans turned on Silva largely after 8+ months itcwas only that purple patch spell towards the end of his first season that saved him but then we turned pretty quickly in his 2nd.

No manager can turn this club around in 12-18 months and thats all you get with our fans in the Moshiri era.
You’re right of course. A spell in the championship is entirely reasonable so that Benitez can get a fair crack.

To he honest, I don't think you'll have anyone in here disagreeing with you on that no manager gets a tune out of this squad straight away, and no manager is a miracle worker.

The problem is, benitez isn't liked by the vast majority of this fanbase so he doesn't get the patience needed to overhaul this squad, he just doesn't get any slack because of his previous connections.

He needed to hit the ground running instantly to have any chance of swaying most people, he hasn't done that and infact he's fell into the exact same trap the previous managers have done in trusting the exact same squad members to get a tune out of ( which ultimately got them all sacked (

I don't think anyone comes in and makes this squad a top team, but someone else gets fans onboard. Bentiez doesn't have that luxury so it was a ridiculous appointment.

Also I really really hate his fat Face
It’s not, for me, his previous connections that mean he isn’t getting much slack. It’s his style of play.

His approach is so negative, his instinct is to go even more negative and play even less football as our poor run goes on. Ironically the more negative we go, the more goals we concede and easier we are to play against.

This is why I didn’t want him, felt like he’d manage us in a way that would make me not want to watch us play.

People say the players are crap and they are but make no mistake this is rafaball we’re watching. A joyless grind, where we tamely surrender and wait for the inevitable.

Was thinking he'd just been handed his p45 after reading the headline, 'jean luc vasseur will find it tough at Everton' screaming at me on the yahoo homepage lol

I hadn't a clue who our women's team's new manager was.

Lad on talksport just said replace him with Sean Dyche....Derek from Scotland.
Come on Derek, what's your username on GOT?

People laugh but Dyche is a decent manager - brought a small town club into the PL and has kept them there for 6 seasons with the 18th lowest net spend over that time including a 7th place finish taking them into Europe.

They've finished above us twice in the last 4 years as well.

With a bigger budget would like to see how he would get on.

He's a decent manager, yes,but Burnley is a perfect fit for him.
Massive pressure and toxic fans would test him.

Aye thats the risk with the managers like Dyche/Potter - can they take the step up.

Tbf to Arsenal Arteta has been given time and money when I thought they would have booted him and they look like they are starting to reap the rewards.
