Spurs have some great players in most positions apart from defence. One or two buys and they are sorted for a decent push. We’re nowhere near them quality wise but people continue to overrate some of the utter dross we have.
How many of our players get in the Spurs team? Maybe a case for Richarlison on the right against Moura/Bergwijn. I can’t think of any others who would. People will say Digne but he has huge stretches of poor form for us and he’s in the middle of one now and he’s apparently one of our better players.
And yet he played well last night, but one has still to question the tactics of Benitez.

Much has been made of this “improved second half performance“ and Delph’s part in it.
But I think it was more a case of Wolves taking their foot of the gas and sitting on the cards they held.
Our squad is so awful everything outside the first eleven is a risk. Annoying as it is, the manager needs a couple of windows to begin to make an impact. It would have been harsh on Gbamin but ultimately Rafael selected him, knowing he was not macth fit, had hardly played in the Prem ever and after the Watford match should really have known better to risk him in this, we needed a performance from the Team and he set it up all wrong from the get go, yes he changed it but damage was done.
I'm sure the same fate won't happen to us. I'm sure Everton will be around long enough, to inflict more misery/dissapointment, coupled with the occasional moments of happiness, on countless generations to come.lolThat's what Gretna fans used to say! They were then taken over by a wealthy owner....

And Brooks Mileson actually liked football, so there is that as well!I'm sure the same fate won't happen to us. I'm sure Everton will be around long enough, to inflict more misery/dissapointment, coupled with the occasional moments of happiness, on countless generations to come.lol
‘Huge rebuilding job needed at Everton’….fans want Benitez out after a few bad results.
How exactly does that help us? Ever thought we might have to go through a bit of pain before some of his methods come to fruition? He even said himself that at Liverpool he ended up with one of the best defences in the league at set pieces once they got used to zonal marking. So we either do the work for the reward or we ask him to change a principle he’s had success with in the past? He’s just brought in new additions to the medical team, do we just turf the lot of them out because we lost a few games?
He needs time to turn around a ship that has been going in the wrong direction for 7 years.
Mina, Richarlison, DCL, Doucoure. Looking at their midfield on Sunday maybe Gray and Allan too.
Stability is fine if you have the RIGHT person. It's the same ridiculous argument aimed at the dof position. Keeping the wrong man in the name of stability is just as damaging.
There has been nothing to suggest he is the man to take us forward , coupled with fact whichever result happens , 1 section if the fan base will goad the other. How on earth does that help the club ? He was and still is a complete wrong fit for this job. It's time to realise this and quickly
and get who in? Name the man that gets a team containing Keane Coleman Davies Iwobi challenging for Europe playing attractive football and would be available, open to joining us, and willing to work within our FFP constraints.
Who is he?
The Zonal Marking is the only thing I can criticise him for at this point.
The 2/3 man midfield argument is redundant as Carlo largely played with a 442 and 2x in the middle. It wasn't an issue with Doucoure fit when we out played Brighton and Utd away from home.
Soon as Doucoure was out that was it for us - same as last season winning just 1 in 8 when he was injured.
Irreplaceable at present.
