I hope you are right. But not sure how you can be so certain about it.

If we were top of the league, they would not be chanting his name in the same way at all. That's a ridiculous suggestion. Why would that wind us up if he had us heading for the title. If anything, it would be the other way. As they would be crushed, one of their legends was doing for us what he couldn't do for them.

It started the day we got linked with him mate. Whilst Rafael is here, that won't stop, until he does something drastic and wins the league as you put it.

Its just part of the derby, the kopites have been waiting patiently for the game to come just to do it. I feel bad for anyone with a facebook acocunt and kopites on it tbh, can imagine it has been relentless since we started losing.

I am an expert on thes sorts of things, that is why i can be confident on getting results. I told you all we would win against wolves the other day so there is your proof of my expert opinion......

I agree to an extent but I still think he deserves the benefit of the doubt on certain things. On the zonal marking, I agree I'd like him to bin it ASAP.

On Rondon, his hand was forced a little bit by injuries to DCL and Rich. On the midfield, which 3 do you play without Doucoure? Allan, Davies and Delph? I can see why he wouldn't want all 3 of them in the team because 2 of them are traditionally liabilities. I think considering he's only 10 games in you can still argue he's getting to see now what the players are capable of. Also Gordon, he's only 20, I can understand him wanting to ease him in gently.

You mentioned there were some impressive performances and good results early in his tenure. That was because he had his best players available. Maybe we should then consider not going overboard now that he's having to play some of the woeful squad players.
The impressive performances were for one and a half games. At a time when he had a full strength side. That's the easy bit .managing injuries, adapting and still getting results is more difficult but, shouldn't be beyond a good manager.

As to the midfield situation, Allan plus two from Gomez, Davies, Delph, Gbamin, Holgate, Godfrey etc. Is bound to be more difficult to run through than Allan plus one of the afore mentioned.

Moving on to Rondon, it is not written in stone that you have to set up with a big centre forward, if Rondon is the best available, stop being stubborn and change tactics.

Least said about the defence the better and Gordon is playing well the time to take him out is when he begins to struggle. Reward young players for good performances.

On the midfield. Gomes, Gbamin and Delph have either been injured or not fully fit, and Holgate and Godfrey have been needed in defence. There are no easy solutions at present.

Didn't hear it mate but I take everything he says with a pinch of salt, he's a failed football chairman who just says things for attention.
The poor man's Piers Morgan.( and he's an arse)
All about opinions but i disagree. He’s very balanced IMO.
He’s also nothing like Piers Morgan who just spouts controversy for effect and attention.

Footy does move on, but that is mainly managers trying to copy success. If you have good players able to implement a system you are in with a shout, on the break, front foot, it does not matter. Having the players to execute the tactics are more important

Many of our squad do not care enough.to implement anything and have to go. The manager is irrelevant until we remove that garbage.
Good managers get any level of player to work into a system or a style.

Ten Hag turned down Spurs

Galtier had already reached a gentleman's agreement with Nice who are owned by a bloke richer than Usmanov

Potter wont come to a club with a fanbase who'll chase him oot after 12-18 months if he hasn't them in the top 6.

Throw in £1.7m budget in the summer very few people would be taking this job and all of them would have the same problems Benitez has - no money and a squad of mish mash crap. Throw in Brands and our medical team I dont understand why people think someone else would have us higher than 10th at present particularly with our injuries.

Losing DCL/Richarlison/Doucoure/Mina has finished us no two ways about it.

Everton took a month to appoint Benitez mate.

You rightly have a dig at the owner etc - and that's totally fair. I don't see why you believe that same owner has now appointed the right manager?

I feared he was lost in the 2000s and all the evidence this season, to me, suggests he is.

He's just not very good. And I don't think he'll get time if the results keep turning sour.

We could very easily be looking at 1 or 2 wins in 12 by the time we reach the derby. That's not good enough for any manager to survive.

I hope we're not. I hope we beat Spurs and then beat City and Brentford. I'm not expecting it, but if we lose all of those then we're in a very bad place and Benitez's job should be under threat. I don't care about the caveats. All of the managers can point to caveats.

But if he has lost 6 on the bounce, 1 win in 10 and we are heading into the Derby, you are still backing him?
Do you honestly want us to sack another manger?........6 months into the job, not a penny to spend?
What in gods name will it achieve to sack him now?
We can't just keep sacking mangers, SACK - RESTART - SACK - RESTART, it's pathetic.
Give him at least one transfer window with money to spend for gods sake

I totally agree it’s ridiculous it really is but equally as ridiculous was this appointment, I have no idea what the answer is other than this fella wins a few matches and we can at least kick the can down the road a bit .

He simply can’t keep his job if we lose our next 4
This is the issue. I'm hoping we don't. But I genuinely think he needs to take six points from the next 12 on offer or he should be facing the sack because any manager should be in that situation.

People keep banging on 'we can't sack another manager'. We sacked Silva because we had 14 points at the start of December after a derby defeat. So Benitez has four games to pick up one point to be better than what Silva had when he was sacked.
