I've not watched the last two games live either. It's a lot less stressful looking up the score at full time and then watching some highlights. Will probably do the same this Sunday. This team just make me angry and I don't want to waste my weekends feeling angry.
I've not watched them live all season.
Probably the best decision I've made in a long time regarding Everton

But the argument is won by me every second Rafael Benitez is Everton manager haven't you realised that yet?

He's going absolutely nowhere until the stadium is built yet you call us rationale fans "lovers" "delusional" etc.

We just accept reality - keep crying on the Internet though maybe Mosh Man will one day here your pleas lol

You can’t honestly believe deep down that he’ll be here in 3 years time. You simply can’t.

5 defenders camped out on the 6 yard line instead of 4... *shudders*
I know, it's awful, but I imagine it's what he will do. I'm sure he would then be lauded for it in here if we got a win. Despite the same argument about previous managers in this thread that it was awful football and very defensive when they did it regardless of if it got a result.

Is Mina ready?
Don't know, I though him, doucoure and dcl were meant to all be back at some point in the next couple of games.

We are actually all just losing every second he is the manager.

Like I said earlier, current form continues and he won't see 3 weeks out, never mind 3 yrs

You simply don't know what his remit is.

For all we know he might have been told money is tight, we need to get rid of several players in order to rebuild, don't worry about this season as long as we stay in the division and get a respectable place.

The fact that last week Rafael was ordering reviews on all background staff suggests he's going to be here a while. In a recent interview he was talking about the next 6 months and his tactics usually take a few months to get going, but we will finish strongly

The minutes have just come out and it states that Brands said Rafael was the strongest candidate out there for the job, suggests they know they won't get anyone better.

He will be because there is no one better to come in when our financial situation means we simply can not back a new manager enough to push for europe.

People are naive to think injuries haven't ruined the season - we 5th in the table until the likes of DCL, Richarlison, Doucoure and Mina went down and have fallen down the table since which we all knew would happen.

Once the injuries are back we'll pick up but I expect we'll be pretty crap from now until the new year whilst the likes of DCL/Doucoure get match fit after lengthy lay offs particularly DCL as quad injuries are never good for a player of his physique.

Now worst case scenario is the squad of players may down tools which they have done on numerous managers but in that instance I would rather the club take a stand and back the manager otherwise we'll never break the cycle of this gutless squad throwing manager after manager under the bus in which they'll only do it to the next fella after Benitez.

It was inevitable that once we got on a bad run it would just become a death spiral that we’d never be able to get out of. This whole situation has happened because our owner ignored the fanbase and the rest of the board and appointed him. Sacking a manager mid-season is never ever ideal and this clown has allowed it to happen 3 times under his ownership (once this one inevitably happens), all 3 managers he personally went out of his way to appoint.

You seriously think Benitez will be here on 23 November 2024?

Are you being serious?

If he wants to keep his job he needs to turn around results in the next month. He can plan as far ahead as he likes, but if 1 win in 9 becomes 1 win in 12 or 13, or 2 in 15 or 16 etc, then he will be sacked, just like any other manager in this division would be sacked for that sort of record.

Stop it with the "we".

Which is it? Avoid relegation or a repectable place? What do you consider a respectable place considering the same squad with a supposedly worse manager finished 10th.

He has had 6 months already. How many more months is "a few".

You think that means anything to our owner? He probably doesn’t even have a clue which of our players are out injured either, I bet if you pushed him to name 10 of our current squad he couldn’t do it without googling it. He will look where we are in the league table in a month’s time and he’ll pull the trigger if we’re 15th or lower. You know he will, you know this is what he’s about. He’s appointed two other managers on long term massive contracts previously and volleyed them both mid-season, why would this time be any different?
