No word from either Andy Gray or Hairy Hands today?

That's strange.
Sharpy's face in the stands was speaking volumes!

BUT

Credit where its due, I didn't think at half time the players had it in them, so players, fans or Benitez or a combination of all did something and for that and a victory I will gladly doff my cap, the fans especially were tremendous last night.

*I still sit in judgement though of his reign, I do not see it ending well.

Love him or loathe him..personally I think he is the right man for the job right now..not the best manager but has Zero loyalty to underperforming staff..from players to boardroom. The whole club needs a seismic shift away from the outdated way it’s been run..
getting in big names, next big/hipster manager or chucking money at a problem isn’t working..also I think a young manager wouldn’t work until a lot of other things are in place as it’s a massive job and with no experience at bashing heads at board level and exposing amateurish execs it would destroy an up and coming coach.

so for now benitez can clear out the rubbish and freeloaders..help restructure whilst keeping us in the league then hand over to coach that can take our play to the next level

Spot on, it's a shame that person has to be Benitez, as it's always gonna add to the narrative or create a barrier for fans. However, yes, we need a ruthless person to oust hangers on and operate under a tighter budget. It's too much pressure for a young-up-and-coming manager who would need a good structure in place for him to just come in and coach the team and get the players he would need to succeed. You need only look at Silva who wilted here despite early promise. He is now doing well at Fulham which I'm glad to see as you could tell he was giving his all while here and was very well spoken of by the players.

Leon Bailey was scouted by the club it’s hardly rocket science to think that we may have looked at Gray at the same time
I think both RB and Gray have spoken about the contact they made with each other while RB was in China , before and after as well.
I think it is safe to say the signings in the summer were down to RB rather than Brands.

….not sure why when they haven’t been responsible for transfers.

i actually think Benitez will rely more on the scouting network as he’s not one for watching games himself.
The problem is that our current scouting network goes no further than Match of the Day.

Blue Bill is going nowhere till the stadium gets built. Id quite like to see a Benitez vs Kenwright situation, especially how it would play out in the Echo and other rags but I would expect there is only going to be one winner and it won't be Rafael.
Benitez has the owner behind him. Maybe Kenwright won't be gone per say but he won't be making anymore transfer decisions or footballing decisions. More like a glorified season ticket holder. I hope he tears up the jobs for the boys model and start hiring actual professionals.

As usual you know nothing and try your best to prove it

Quotes from Benitez on why he not Brands signed Gray

Rafael Benitez has revealed he had been keeping tabs on Demarai Gray for four years before signing the attacker for Everton this summer.

And the extent of Benitez's interest in the 25-year-old is highlighted by the fact Benitez even exchanged messages with Gray when the Spanish coach was without a club.

Even if they do go down, one is multiple? Is it your english or maths that's the problem? I didn't know his influence is so great that you attribute their potential relegation to Benitez. By the same measure should he be credited for all Valencia, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Napoli, Inter and LFC trophies since he left them?
He took them down himself as well so yes that’s multiple

He is not a good manager he’s actually a very bad one - and he will be kicked out here sooner rather than later - in fact most other owners than the incompetent Moshiri would have sacked him already.

As I said, say hello to Sean Longstaff in January

There's no point explain this to them. I have tried multiple times.

They are clinging on to anything to try and beat Rafael with.

Rafael signs our most successful player... No that was Brand's.

Rafael helps get rid of Brands which we've wanted for ages.... Brands wasn't the problem.

Rafael drops Digne... Team Digne

Etc etc etc

At least you replied in a decent manner. Credits for that. Hope you find enjoyment in Everton winning soon.
