None of those players were signed by Benitez so it is a moot point.

People want to credit him with the increased value and money well spent on Gray and Townsend but it is balanced out by pissing money away on the likes of Rondon, Begovic, and Longergan.

I imagine Ancelotti wouldn't have had us near 10th had DCL missed 90% of the season which he has currently for us this season.

You cant look at this as black or white - everything in life has subtle shades of grey that has to be taken into account.

Don't forget his form took a massive nosedive after the Christmas period, the bulk of his goals came in the earlier part of the season.

See the problem with "vaulting" is that people's opinions change all the time - unless you still believe in Santa Clause like you did when you were 5?

Unless you live in a cave or your ma's basement and only listen to your own ramblings then its perfectly normal to change an opinion on something.

I know for sure 80% of fans didnt rate DCL 3-4 years ago.

I know for sure 80% fans didnt want Moyes back 2 years ago.

I dont go "vaulting" people to try "win" an argument on the internet because their opinions were as valid as anyone elses based on the evidence of that time.

When he signed, it was widely reported to be 140k. It only changed when benitez decided he wanted rid of him. Can't be bothered with this argument, when ultimately paying rondon 10k a week is too much.

You aren't doing maths like a Benitez Cultist. You need to apply the R factor.

James Wages = 140k x R( The R factor is positive here because Rafael didn't sign him so we need to make this look as good as possible) = 140 million pounds saved for Everton

Rondon Wages = 90k x R (The R factor is negative here because Rafael signed him and obviously this was the best use of the money) = -900 bajillion pounds of saving and earned value.

I remember when you first signed up to GOT and nearly everyone though you were a Kopite and was pelting you with negs etc.

You’ve ridden out the storm amazingly well. Not arsed either way as some of your posts, non Everton on the whole, I find funny, but your love in with this manager is certainly raising a few concerns.
