I've defended and backed him as all decent Blues should coming into this poisoned chalice of a job - but thats not to say I had reservations deep down.

Im still not 100% convinced after that poor run of form however the commitment shown last night on the pitch, the removal of Brands & Dr Death and the "my way or the highway" style of management shown towards the likes of James and Digne makes me think this guy could be the one to start laying solid foundations again that we once had under Moyes but were later smashed to pieces by El Loco et al.

Yes, we will realize value from Gray and Townsend. I hope it is enough to offset the money we are pissing away on Rondon.

There will have been huge savings in wages from getting rid of the players mentioned over those we signed.

The increase in the players value is another added bonus.

This is what most of us hoped Marcel Brands would do.

None of those players were signed by Benitez so it is a moot point.

People want to credit him with the increased value and money well spent on Gray and Townsend but it is balanced out by pissing money away on the likes of Rondon, Begovic, and Longergan.

Not true mate in fact you'll see in the past I've been against the idea of Benitez.

In the summer post Ancelotti - out of the options avaliable I said he was likely the best candidate available/who wanted the job and I stick by that.

2 and a half years ago pal and the last one is even more embarrassing as you go against DCL as well. Can't see any posts where you are against your rafatollah though.
