Like I said, Galtier was interested. He's better than Benitez.

In your opinion he is mate (we all have an opinion on football look at the Messi/Ronaldo tedious debate) and you dont know if he wanted to move from France - he had gentleman's agreement with Nice.

And also.... Galtier plays a midfield 2 which you constantly moan about Benitez playing! lol

So in today's lies from the Benitez Brigade we have had

  1. Rafael is the reason the saudi's bought Newcastle (@Theoneandonly)
  2. @ForeverBlue92 claiming he has never been convinced on Benitez and didn't want him here
  3. @banno making up results that never happened 15 years ago to try and paint Benitez as something other than a massive failure.

Have I missed any for the list lads?

@Thomasc calling them the Rafaelites - I’ve not seen this before but think it’s worthy of the highest praise as a descriptive term (luftraffa is also acceptable from @Melchizedek yesterday)

Already managed to get the DoF binned, already managed to fall out with one of our better players, already managed to get James out of the door.

Oh, and already managed to lead us to our worst derby defeat in history at Goodison Park AND our worst Premier League run since the 90s.

Why do fans support him at all?
Our worst Derby defeat at Goodison Park was 05 in 1982 the Glen Keeley disaster. I was there.

All this is purely down to Benitez having been manager of the RS, if he had never been at them and had won what he has with say MUFC or Chelski then we wouldnt even be having these debates. Please bare in mind Demerai Gray is a Benitez signing (told so by DG himself in a preseason interview) and DG has been involved in more goals this season than Jack Grealish who cost over 50 times more! I was starting to get concerned about the Managerial position however I am of the opinion that Benitez deserves respect for what he has done in the game and also we have tried everything else. Give him a go, get Goodison rocking every game not just when the VAR gets involved and look what happens! All the players interviewed after the game Keane, Coleman, Gray, Pickford, Gordon and the manager all said how having the fans behind them helped. Look at the players posts on social media all stating the fans were brilliant and made a difference. It won't happen any time soon because evidence of the ship turning is required and the team to do something but I am certain that one day the fans will be singing his name one day. He remains very calm and collected on the touchline before, during and at 90 minutes but on one video (tunnel access on youtube) Benitez is walking at the side of the pitch after the fans of gone and you can clearly see how happy he is, give the bloke a chance and maybe just maybe we will get somewhere.

PARAGRAPH PLEASE MATE. That's just a wall of text, I'm worried about it 'falling' on someone.

As for the content, it's (almost) nothing to do with him being a kopite. Stop pedalling that boring excuse.

The dam will well and truly burst after a draw or defeat at Palace, followed by a hammering at Chelsea.

He may not get so lucky with a couple of late worldie strikes against Leicester, as he did against Arsenal.

I say all this not because I want Everton to lose, but because I believe he is an appaling manager who divides every club he enters, in a kind of sub-Mourinho manner.

If he switches to 4-3-3 and shows learning from what’s happened I don’t think he does (in fact we could beat Palace) but there’s a lot of doubt whether he will.

With bells on?

You mean embellish his story further so that he hasnt been sacked from multiple jobs, hasn't fought and lost with virtually every board he has ever had, hasn't got one of the most appalling transfer records in history...............and so on?
the most appalling transfer record in history...

Look, it's shouts like these that make you sound ridiculous.

I'd love to see how you react when you read a book... You know, those papery things with string in it
