All this is purely down to Benitez having been manager of the RS, if he had never been at them and had won what he has with say MUFC or Chelski then we wouldnt even be having these debates. Please bare in mind Demerai Gray is a Benitez signing (told so by DG himself in a preseason interview) and DG has been involved in more goals this season than Jack Grealish who cost over 50 times more! I was starting to get concerned about the Managerial position however I am of the opinion that Benitez deserves respect for what he has done in the game and also we have tried everything else. Give him a go, get Goodison rocking every game not just when the VAR gets involved and look what happens! All the players interviewed after the game Keane, Coleman, Gray, Pickford, Gordon and the manager all said how having the fans behind them helped. Look at the players posts on social media all stating the fans were brilliant and made a difference. It won't happen any time soon because evidence of the ship turning is required and the team to do something but I am certain that one day the fans will be singing his name one day. He remains very calm and collected on the touchline before, during and at 90 minutes but on one video (tunnel access on youtube) Benitez is walking at the side of the pitch after the fans of gone and you can clearly see how happy he is, give the bloke a chance and maybe just maybe we will get somewhere.
