For everyone that has a gripe about changing managers & the subsequent massive payouts they received after being sacked they best look away now.

Diaz was on the basis of James going and the deal was likely structured over a numberof years.

Anyone who thinks Benitez wont be here next summer is a fantasist.

James was not considered by their manager the days before deadline day.

They ( as they usually do ) left it too late after hours of talks only for Porto to up the price of his buyout €68 mil

Nearly all transfers are conducted this way now , its defered payment that the Prem allows ,still goes on the books.

Usmanov appointed him mate!

Benitez is your manager for the next couple of years unless we have a disaster season like Koeman/Silva which I cant see happening under an experienced pair of hands.
