"Give it Dunc"...the sack, that is.

3 points off 9th place. Erm, no.
Oh Dave, come on. The fact that there are other mediocre teams in the division and they haven’t managed to pull away from us yet, is hardly an endorsement of Benitez. I’ve tried to be fair to him, I’ve been mindful of the fact that I didn’t want him from day 1, but, I have tried to make allowances for that and gave him credit for picking up points early in the season. Having said that, we were very ordinary and rather lucky to have picked up as many points as we did. Truthfully, the only game in which we looked decent all the way through was Brighton away.

The truth of the matter is, the club was in a poor state when Benitez came in, but, he has, in short order, turned it into a crisis, the football is agricultural, we are a very defensive team who can’t defend, there is more division amongst the fans than in any time during my memory of the blues, which goes back to the early 60’s.

I know you say you want stability and that the problems go much deeper than Benitez and I agree with you. Stability will not come with this manager, it’s not what he does, his way is confrontation. I also accept that there are far more problems than Benitez, but, he is the most urgent problem and he is the problem that is most easily dealt with.

He doesn't want dunc to get it before the Chelsea game as last time he beat Chelsea whereas Dave wants Chelsea to beat us.

Bottom line is a lot of people never even gave him a chance because of who he previously managed.

I believe in giving someone a fair opportunity and thought as a club the fanbase did too.

I've been sadly disappointed to find this isn't the case and if it has done nothing else it has opened my eyes to the actual moral standards people hold. I certainly won't hold up Evertonians as some example of great support in the future, i support Everton but a bond has certainly been broke with me in respect of if not the fanbase at least the majority of supporters on here.

That's not the fault of Benitez, it's about fairness and giving someone a chance. This his face doesn't fit and name calling has all the characteristics of bullying that has scarred so many lives that i find it abhorrent and sad that so many find such happiness in it.
If you no longer wish to support this club, then that's your own decision. I was never going to give a kopite scumbag, who insulted and belittled this proud and great club a fair chance. I guess both you and Benitez can go and do one.

To be honest I'd put up with that if he was getting results, but in the absence of success on the pitch, his divisive attitude is unsupportable.

He could walk around in his full LFC training gear if he was winning every game as far as I'm concerned.

He's not though. He's an arrogant bell and needs binning off before the limited amount of talent we have in the squad has enough and leaves.

There are a few on here who'd happily sack Benitez and take Mourinho
Much as I have a lot of time for Mourinho, he seems pretty much finished these days. Plus his model is buy experienced players for big wages which is what I think we need to move away from given our financial issues.

Need someone who’s prepared to do a total rebuild.

My fear is he drives Richy, DCL and a few of our other better players out of the club. Then Moshiri replaces them with a few personal picks and we’re all of a sudden in League 1!

Honestly I'll be glad to see the back of him at this stage

He's been dealt a duff hand with the injuries, but I don't think much of his tactics and I'm sick of the division he's causing amongst the fan base

Time to ship him out I think

No idea who we replace him with like, but he needs shifting

Another failed appointment from Moshiri in a series of them (Although I'll give him a pass on Ancelotti because that was a genuine show of ambition)

Benitez would have been a questionable appointment even without the Liverpool connections. Feels like a real spent force

But we were spoilt with Carlo and the next man would always struggle in comparison.

All dependent on the ego which is Rafael. All he had to do was continue what Carlo did and add pace. He added pace and thought - I can get them playing better than Ancelotti (and that's not in the footballing sense but as a unit). And it's backfired. He's wrong. I'm right.

Look what Martinez did in his first season. It's well documented that he kept Moyes' defensive foundations then just added flair and quality with Lukaku, Barry, Barkley, Geri. It's only when he started to apply his own philosophy in the next season's is when the wheels fell off.

To me it was fixed. It just needed improvement. That's all out the window

I'd love us to get something out of the next two games, but I just cant see it. I just wonder if the Board have a plan in place or not. Now Brands has gone, are they all in on Benitez? Are they too scared to bin him off before the January transfer window?

Whether people on the Internet give him or don’t give him a chance ultimately what difference does that make to what actually happens with the football?

Hint: Nothing.

Our style of play is very reactive though. We sit off teams and are passive. Then we go in behind at half time so he has to go for it. The good performances have been comeback wins after doing nothing in the first half/first hour.

Even games we finished strongly and lost like Wolves and Palace we did nothing in the game until 2-0 down and then got the opponent on the back foot.
