And you think this is what RB does? Why doesn't it work then?
Wayne Rooney has offered some insight into Alex Ferguson’s brilliant man-management skills. The legendary former Manchester United manager fell out with most of his best players – such as Roy Keane, Rooney, David Beckham, Paul Ince and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Yet Rooney now realises that Ferguson called him out as a way to spark a reaction from other players. The Derby County player/coach understands that by criticising him, someone with thick skin and a strong personality, it sent a message to other, more laid-back characters in the Man United dressing room.
“His man-management is the best I’ve ever seen,” Rooney told the Guardian in an interview. “I always remember as a kid, every half-time arguing with him. Constantly. I remember thinking: ‘Why’s he keep having a go at me? There’s players far worse than what I’ve been. But the older you get, you realise why he’s doing it. If he [Sir Alex] spoke to Nani the way he spoke to me, he’d break down in tears. He [Nani] wouldn’t be able to come back out.”

….one of the Benitez luvvies is @ForeverBlue92. He supports Benitez but would like Sean Dyche when Benitez is sacked, he’d also love Mourinho.
The same poster thinks the Everton fan base is vile and is very comfortable with us being relegated. It does make you wonder what the agenda of some is.
Please don’t compare this bloke with Ferguson. Utterly embarrassing.
This is correct and we would be foolish to get in manager to try and play in a way not suited to the squad we have but we need someone who can get the best out of what we have and Benitez is just not doing that, on the contrary he is making an average squad look even worse than they areWe can't play exciting expansive football with this squad. May as well stick with Rafael is someone comes in wanting to do that cos we'll go straight down.
I wouldn't agree with that being the case under Ancelotti myself. I don't think either of the last 2 managers were a good match for what we need and unless we look for a different type of manager who is a better fit for what we need then I don't think we'll ever progress past what we have been for the past few years.I'm mearly saying that the idea of jumping from one football philosophy to another cos the last one didn't work, is a disaster with this squad because we've already done it.
The reason why Benitez was almost accepted as a manager is the idea that he'd make us "solid" "hard to beat" and his own words add "fight" to the team. Hes done the complete opposite.
However...those ideals are what we should strive for which began to happen under Carlo.
Maybe you are right, in terms of those ideals, but obviously Rafael not the man for it.I'm mearly saying that the idea of jumping from one football philosophy to another cos the last one didn't work, is a disaster with this squad because we've already done it.

What's wrong with conflict? I would expect and hope for conflict inside an underperforming team.
The bit in bold we have no way of knowing.
I think some are scared to change managers yet again in case of further disruption. But they might just get even more scared if he isn't replaced soon! It's very difficult to believe that the people defending Benitez are Everton fans. I can understand people saying that to sack any manager again would be too much upheaval or cost too much but the people actually defending Benitez are surely not Everton fans.
Well that image has ruined my dayBenitez sticks his schlong on the table and says "mines bigger, come fight me".
That's not man management, that's authoritarianism
This argument may carry more weight if he put him on the bench rather than drop him completely when we have no other Left back...It's careless, reckless management, simply to make a pointI think that the act of him dropping one of the teams better players, Digne, who has been underperforming for a long time, is not necessarily a sign of arrogance or him asserting his dominance, as many managers use precisely this tactic.
