I agree, I want us to finish higher than 10th this season. I do not really care about the points total that gets us there.

Where we are now means nothing other than to show how we are performing in relation to other teams around us, and even after a v bad run, the top half is not too far from our reach thankfully. Stay positive!

If we finish 9th but have less points than last season, some people on here will call it a failure.

I believe he wont be our manager after Christmas, regardless of upcoming results. (Based on gossip whose provenance I cannot ,at this point ,vouch for).

Loads of players have praised him this season.

How many players fell out with Ferguson. How many fell out with Mourinho. Its irrelevant as its natural to fall out with your boss.
Not the smartest post. Ferguson consistently won things, and Mourinho didn’t fall out with his players nearly as much as he does now when he was successful. In addition to that, both were successful a while ago now, and that old style of management clearly doesn’t work with modern players.

Maybe you are right, in terms of those ideals, but obviously Rafael not the man for it.
Lets take Palace as an example, young manager, fresh ideas, leader and great former player with good interpersonal skills
overhaul the squad and exciting to watch by comparison to Palce that were 'solid' 'hard to beat' and 'fought'
The new Palace will finish higher and fans will have more fun watching it.
Should we get Lampard(young manager, fresh ideas, leader and great former player with good interpersonal skills) and
stop renewing contracts for players simply existing, then we could do something similar
Gotta be better than this misery surely

Viera flopped at Nice though for not bringing a freshness or desired playing style. I'm glad they're looking good and he's made some shrewd buys...but the way there were going into the season, I'm sure most palace fans didn't expect Viera to be a hit.

I still don't see how Lampard is "fresh" though. He wanted to turn Chelsea into Wimbledon of the 80s full of salt of the earth Englishmen and played Kante as an attacking mid, binned Jorginho and Rudiger off

I've never fallen out with my boss. Surely a good, positive management style that values and respects its employees would prevent that from happening. And we disagree on things regularly.

All valid points tbf
I am suprised at Viera's impact too, but it's there.
I'm not saying Lampard is perfect but that's what you get when someone is learning their trade rather than thinking they know everything already, that's the key difference and I'd take that over RB

Why would I want to google the RS. I just ask my RS mate.

Because it takes 2 seconds to find a fact.

My bad it was actually Martin Broughton who said Rafael walked.

"Rafael basically pulled out of the whole thing and said ‘I’m going to leave this to my lawyers to negotiate.’

“He didn’t say he was leaving, and I never told him he was leaving. It was ‘I’ll leave this to my lawyer’ and his lawyer’s stance was ‘what are the terms for Rafael going’
