Local club - Preston - have just taken on Ryan Lowe (a Scouser) as Manager. He is renowned for his proactive football stance and certainly talks a good game. The players have already bought into his style and the club is buzzing, seemingly. Still only early days but the fans at his former club, Plymouth Argyle, are gutted by his departure.

Maybe this is the route we should be going down - can't be any worse than the last 4-5 'proven' Managers - and will, in any event, be cheaper to sack!

Lowe has done a good job at Bury and then Plymouth, though there are rumours down there about why he left them that are not football related.

Yeah but sure you want to sell both our forwards and every other half decent player we have
If they dont play what use are they to us?

Maybe you like having a lead swinging face gurner and a man in the treatment room clutching a purse rather than two strikers who...erm...play football.

we are in the middle of a perfect storm in terms of the squad available - the injury situation has meant we have had to play gomes and delph in midfield v palace, no premiership team could afford to carry that pairing in the modern game when extreme fitness and pace are almost the bread and butter requirement of every player - add in the obvious problems at the back and up front and we are in serious bother, am honestly not sure if anything Rafael does is going to make a difference (i wasn't in favour of him being appointed)

There are so many truths in this post...

Why on earth Evertonians want another manager to come in and have the same problems dealing with the same players is quite baffling, don’t these people see what’s happening here, the constant changing of managers should give you a clue.. the players and running of the club are rotten to the core.
There were so many fans on here speaking at the start of the season about the only good thing about Benitez being appointed was you knew he would weed out all the bad apples, you all knew things were going to get a whole lot worse before they got better because of years and years of neglect and not addressing the problems...

This Club has drifted for thirty years.. there is no quick fix here and unpopular decisions amongst players.. in the boardroom and on the terraces simply have to be made if the Club is to move forward.

The manager in place now might be unpopular with most but you all know he will not hesitate to make those unpopular decisions and that’s what’s needed, he has been brought in to start the very very slow building process, he has been severely hampered by injuries to his better players, he has won the Brands battle, he is in the middle of sorting the medical staff situation out and hopefully he will get some decent funds in a few weeks time along with some kinder fixtures.

I tell you what... if fans force out this manager you can just chalk it down to another victory to player power and fans who don’t like change and this drifting vicious circle will just extend to the next manager whoever that will be.. is this really what fans want, let’s just see wha the lay of the land is at the end of the season and stop this talk about relagation.. it will never be in the equation as there are far worse teams.
Out of interest mate, who do you reckon will go down?
Obviously we were all heartened by the Arsenal performance, but if we replicate the way we played against Palace when we play Burnley and Newcastle would you fancy us to win those games?
