I don’t think anyones delighted here. I think we are seeing that we are in a pretty crap position due to 6 years of complete mismanagement that has seen us with no funds and no team. No one has given us a suitable replacement that could do better here.
Benetez won’t be here in two years. But we probably need him for the next 18months to tread water, clear out the dross and get us back on track financially.

Who are these most fans? We are 7 pts off the bottom 3 and Burnley have a game in hand over us. Couple this with a useless manager who hasn't realised we have been without DcL all season and still sets up the team like we have and relegation is a very real possibility. How anyone can watch us get totally dominated by Palace and not be worried needs a reality check

The issue is, you are saying you want benitez to get rid of the dross and stabilise us. But he looks to be getting rid of our decent players, playing all the dross regardless of how they perform as well as adding new dross in bar gray. In 2 years time, we will have a worse squad than we do now.

He’s made it very clear that Davies is his last choice midfielder. He’s made it clear that Iwobi is behind even Gordon in the pecking order. Kenny hasn’t been seen once. Tosun is clearly up for sale.

He has a blind spot over Keane which will continue to cost him but with Mina injured and Holgate and Godfrey bang out of form then there’s not a load of options available at CB.

We have a better chance of winning games in the long term with the likes of Gray Docuoure Allan Townsend in the team than we did when we had Davies Siggurdson Bernard shuffling around at walking pace in midfield.

Can you realistically see 2 of Newcastle Norwich Burnley Leeds getting more points than us?
 

Just seen a great way in which fans can show their displeasure and at the same time do something good - Real Betis fans threw thousands of soft, cuddly toys onto the pitch which were then collected for under privileged kids. I don't think they were actually displeased by the club or owt but it was an amazing sight and beats cushions or tennis balls ??

I don't think we will go down this year, although it is still possible. But I do think it's coming in the next couple of seasons unless we change course. If Benitez is allowed to sell a couple of our good players, then we won't replace them properly, and then relegation becomes a very real possibility.

The fact we are talking about this shows the utterly shambolic job he has done. He will go down in history, as the worst performing Everton manager of all time.

Given that I cant envisage where our next point is coming from, the answer is yes. Newcastle will spend in Jan, Dyche always gets his team going in the 2nd half of the season and Leeds are having 2nd season syndrome but will not go down

Why let someone clear out the squad and fill it with his players if he’ll only be here short term? The rebuild had to have a longer term strategy behind it at board level. A lack of leadership and strategy from Moshiri again.

Funnily enough, what we need is a DoF, and we just sacked him. Everything Brands said he would do, but didn’t, is what we need. Buy young and cheap not players at or past their best. Have a playing ethos and buy players to fit that rather than managers flip flopping our style and leading to a mishmash of a squad like we have right now. It’s scary.

We’ve just gone to palace and sat off them, a team below us. We treated them like prime Barca and they stuffed us 3-1. We didn’t lay a finger on them because of the submissive tactics employed by our manager

I can’t see us picking up more than 2 points in those games

Kenny and tosun have barely played last season either. Im talking about the dross that actually makes the pitch. Not the richarlisons, dignes, pickfords, dcls that are the ones being heavily linked to leaving. We have a better chance of winning games long term with them than without.

We won games with davies, siggy and bernard in midfield last year. Something we are massively struggling to do this year. So that hope that we will win more games long term is purely speculation.
