He’s fallen out with one player Digne. Any other player who has spoken to the media has come out in praise of him so far: Gray, Townsend, Gordon, Branthwaite, DCL, Doucoure, even Richarlison up to this point.

These players are an absolute shambles so if they had all fallen out with Benitez I doubt we would see the type of display we saw against Arsenal.

If more evidence comes to light then great, I’ll change view, but at the moment all we have is Digne sidelined and a kopite writing about how all the players hate him despite most coming out in support for him so far. We also have a sulking Richarlison going off even though he was injured.

Maybe the players were reacting to the crowd?

that's just daft though, surely. It takes years to build a team. And everyone can see the paucity of the squad, and the bad luck with injuries. If you give him time, he will build a good team. He's always done it wherever he's gone and he's had a thirty year career. He doesn't suddenly become bad in the last 3 months.

People will quite rightly point to his record in the last 10 years and be uninspired. He's a tactical dinosaur in the modern game. We will NEVER ever be competing at the top with him in charge. Given time he'd probably stabilise us and if that's all that we're interested in (and I suspect that's all Moshiri wants right now) then we're doomed.

I just feel it’s a very dangerous game some fans are playing calling for Benitez to be sacked.. if players win another battle against a manager and they bring in another one I really don’t know where that will leave the Club especialy when solid foundations are needed before moving to the new stadium which is a big upheaval anyway.
I know fans are disapointed and are unhappy with the situation at present but if you claim to understand football do you honestly believe from start of the season until xmas.. 1.5m spent on transfers and massive injury problems throughout the season is really enough time to judge a manager.

So which elements of the job of manager do you think he is doing well at?
And do you agree with him when he says we are going in the right direction?
