why have you got so little faith in his ability to make the right calls, given his record? He's won things wherever he's gone, and the few places where he didn't win things was when he deliberately took a step down to build something. It's a struggle at the moment, but he's playing people when they aren;'t fit owing to the dreadful squad we have. Let him bring in a few players in January, and get our good players back and you will see a different team.Early days.
A lot of fans sharpened knives before a ball was kicked.
Injuries.
Squad full of spineless jellyfish.
Couple of wins from looking alright in the table.
Who else? Anyone now is a bit doomed so replace him when the DOF finds someone better.
Using him like Chelsea did made sense to me. He was a better choice than Nuno Santo and Howe.
etc etc.
That was me - but the last few weeks has demonstrated that Benitez is - in my opinion, no longer holding the fort but being given thumbs up to try and build another one.
That paints another picture entirely.
There's changes happening which we assume is under Benitez' instruction and I'm just not convinced. This is a manager who it's hard to imagine ever being far away from things turning very nasty so to give him the autonomy to make long term decisions is a bad mistake.
But then, with no DOF - we've not got many at the club who I'd trust to make those decisions.
A real mess.
His record at Everton.why have you got so little faith in his ability to make the right calls, given his record?
that's just daft though, surely. It takes years to build a team. And everyone can see the paucity of the squad, and the bad luck with injuries. If you give him time, he will build a good team. He's always done it wherever he's gone and he's had a thirty year career. He doesn't suddenly become bad in the last 3 months. His record at Everton.
Because he’s a liarI dunno why he persists with this narrative that we were 'on top' against Palace when that blatantly isn't true......
I know how he feelsHe is not happy, can see that.
Don't know for sure, but I know we don't create a lot of chances and we give other teams several chances every match.I take it that’s not real? It can’t be.
GoodHe is not happy, can see that.
