So you’d rather Benitez, in a theoretical situation where they were the only two choices?Moyes has done well, but got lucky with injuries and lingaard having the spell of his life. It’s breezed confidence and continuity. But they have a striker who’s not scoring and have lost their 2 CB’s. Let’s see how things pan out if their injuries become worse.
I wouldn’t want moyes anywhere near Everton. It’s been and gone, he would also have parts of the fan Base against from day one.
I just think it would make sense to be generally supportive at this time rather than staging protests etcWhat about playing hoof and hope against Palace, of all teams? Are we allowed to criticise him for that?
I think Potter was one of Brands considerations.I would have took potter all day, not Nuno or Howe or Dunc. At least potter plays the right way. And sats will tell if Brighton had a quality striker they would be top half.
I also get the, you can’t keep sacking manager shouts. And I was behind Benitez, yes he’s been unlucky with injuries , but 30% possession at palace is a disgrace. And I’m not sure with a fully fit team, we’d have more. Yes we may be able to implement his style better, but that style won’t get us anywhere long term.
His appointment has caused rifts,
Everywhere. Amongst the fans, the players and in the boardroom. He needs to go and we need a young manager, who plays a modern winning style. A DOF whos on the same page and they can build Something long term. Get rid of the wasters out the club on huge, get the right people in too run the academy. And buy the right players, who fit the system. The issue is will Moshiri let that happen.
It is when the man in situ is actively damaging the club.Keeping hiring and firing managers isn’t the answer

Well if people want to compare what or what isn’t acceptable let’s look across the board and judge fairly.. we both know Benitez and his history mean he will never get a fair crack with some people no matter how good he might become.
I have no idea whether Potter was the “best” choice, but I do know that he’d have been an INFINITELY better choice than a kopite dinosaur stuck in 2005.I think Potter was one of Brands considerations.
And they're his best points. His style of play and his general smugness mean I can never take to the kopite.
Venkys meets Sunderland divided by Villa a few years agoSince we were last in Europe we have fallen down the pecking order quite substantially.... Dont forget we were talking about the big 4 then, its now 6 and we saw ourselves as 7th. Leicester have muscled in pushing us to 8th, West Ham have now wedged themselves above us in the pecking order which takes us to 9th. Aston Villa with their investment and Stevie G have now put themselves above us and are looking strong for Europe with a very good squad which cost a quarter of ours, 10th.
I fear that losing to Newcastle will put them 5 behind AND give them a great chance of staying up which means come January they will be spending, and with some of the players they have with 4/5 good additions will see them have a good run and stay in the division, you know what will follow after that. Obviously after the plight we find ourselves in we know how FFP and the PL sustainability rules work, their accounts shoe profits of £58.9m in 2018, profits of £53.5m in 2019 and we are yet to see 2020 results. On that basis Newcastle will have AT LEAST £112m to spend plus the allowed £105m losses, so a £200m splurge is not out of the question BUT the PL sponsorship embargo has finished so stadium naming rights and other sponsorship avenues open for them. Maybe not this season but definitely next season or the season after these will also be ahead of us.
What an absolute time to be alive where our championship is to win the top of bottom half of the league..... A manager that no one else wants because he is dated and frankly no good anymore... No money to spend, we are worse off now than under Kenwright... Disharmony in the squad and having to sell our most valuable assets... The most unpopular manager and statistically one of the worst in our history sacking back room staff...
This reminds me alot of the Venkys at Blackburn, where are they now? The same fate awaits Everton....
Absolutely breaks my heart! ?
Why on earth am I on that bottom picture?
Regardless of giving him a chance to get that chance you need to at least get a few results, not the worst run in our history?!The real shame is not giving a manager a fair chance and judging him while his hands are tied behind his back, people never did this with previous managers why are they doing it now.. be fair about it and give him the same chance as in funds and time as the others.
