I am:
Pro-stability after 7 short-term appointments (with no results to show for it)
Pro-getting the toxic players out
Pro-giving a proven manager a fair chance

We should sweat out this fever. Moshiri thinks the same.

What good would sacking him now do anyway? It would only give that toxic dressing room more leverage when the new manager comes in.
Just no!

im looking forward to a solid, fighting, passionate performance and nothing would please me more than turning over these Ruski Billionaires but i can only imagine this isnt gonna happen!

if it does i will give credit where it is due!

Dave, just reassess this assertion

if he had have reacted after the Derby it would simply have sent a message that losing to them is the worst case scenario for us, it really isnt at all, it is painful as it always is but he didnt do it as it would have sent a very poor message and would have been seen as Knee Jerk.

The way it is panning out what Mosh says and does we all know are very very different!

Sacking him after the Derby may well have been more evidence of very poor decision making luckily for Mosh he didnt his "standing" with media, etc would have been very low, for that i will give Mosh some credit!

But it is coming!

BTW February will be far too late to see us safe if we are indeed in the trouble most of us fear!

dont forget your Chelski hat tonight!

Ridgers: sacked after a derby.

The precedent had been set by them.

There isn't a dismissal anywhere in sight.

You know it.

He will be sacked soon
And then dave will turn on the new man straight away . It is what he does. A complete wum who just winds people up. Many would admire him for it. Personally i think he's a complete nob .
Stop moaning because you cant get your own way.

Every manager we've had I have supported for at least the first season in charge. That's been my policy and remains my policy.

Have a go at that: you know, handing time and patience to a manager...you never know, you might like loyalty.

Nah he's not a nob, come on. He just loves an argument, and he lures me in every time lol

He loves being contrarian, it's what he does. No point getting wound up about it. It actually makes sense that he likes Benitez!!

This is a nail on head!

I actually like a good deal of his comments, his logic is sometimes questionable!! but he is very amusing and not always in a ridicule way!

The forum would be a much less interesting place without his input!

Quite relaxed about the situation, tbh. I see Benitez riding this out and then dealing with the players who have let us down and cleaning house of the coaching staff who have taken the piss for years alongside the players....which is what we ALL wanted a manager to do, isn't it?

Not quite Dave, I would like to see the manager, make decent selections, tactics, subbing, stop with the lame excuses. give our young players more of a go than keep playingthe rubbish like Rondon.

I have him on ignore with ages.
Just have to hit see ignored content every now and then as threads do be blank
I hardly ever agree with him on anything, but I don't put people on ignore. It's good for the forum to have different views, even ones I think are a bit ridiculous, as long as things stay civil.

I think that's the biggest issue with this appointment. We are falling out amongst ourselves and that's far from good.

I have to say that I have been dipping in and out of this forum recently mainly because I can’t get it clear in my own mind what I would want to happen to our club.

Part of me realises that stability has been sorely missed in the dugout and if we get a grip of that, then we might just see some progress or at least see a manager last long enough to really mould a team to the style he wants instead of having to rely on a mix of players from 3/4 predecessors who had very different ideas.

On the other hand, I am growing increasingly concerned about the arrogant attitude that Benitez seems to carry and his inability to see what any fan can see from the stands or even just throw someone on from the bench when chasing a goal.

I think I have come to the realisation that Benitez will be here til the summer at least as I think the fixtures after Christmas and the return of some players should give him some breathing room.

As for summer, I hope he goes and we bring in someone like Potter who has shown he can handle modern football and has dealt with bottom half standard players in the process while playing football “the right way”.
