I’ll always give credit where it’s due, but we were lucky not to be about 9 down at half time. Pickford had his best game of the season.

The only thing I’ll credit Benitez with, is his set piece tactics that seem to allow a free header to the opposition almost every time.

He won't have seen the game or the lineup. Probably still thinks James, Dom, and Richy all played blinders

Probably both. The youngsters want to prove themselves to whoever the manager is to claim a place. But it wasn’t just the youngsters. The likes of Pickford and Keane were excellent as well. It’s clear that this team can and will fight when he needs them to.

The problem is that we need that kind of desire every game.

The answer is we feel embarrassed that a draw in the Premier League is being lauded as if we were Forest Green holding Utd at Old Trafford.

It was a great surprise to be honest, great result given the injuries. It’s so sad and predictable, the way people act and it’s always the same people with the same routine .

You know what, I’d say to one of those 27 years people who run the campaign , forget respect because they are getting none at all so why pander to such a bunch of snide arseholes?

I don’t agree with some of their ideas however to me I’d rather stand with them because their aspirations want to see us as a better club getting decent results like this most weeks than a bunch of snides more interested in trolling their own fan base.

Make no mistake.

The reason this game turned out the way it did,

Was because he committed 100% to a game plan.

The reason we didn't get ripped apart like every other game,

Was because he played five at the back.

There was a clear strategy for the players to get behind.

Let's see what the tactical genius can come up with against Burnley on boxing day.

If he can show us that he has a strategy to go and WIN games (other than park the bus)... and can do it consecutively,

I'll give him credit.

Until then, he's won one game in months and has persisted in playing a system that doesn't work,

With players such as Rondon, that shouldn't have been playing whilst we had hungry youngsters on the bench (something we could all see a mile off).
