Probably both. The youngsters want to prove themselves to whoever the manager is to claim a place. But it wasn’t just the youngsters. The likes of Pickford and Keane were excellent as well. It’s clear that this team can and will fight when he needs them to.

The problem is that we need that kind of desire every game.

Yes I thought Pickford and Keane were brilliant tonight. Stepped up when needed.
Ye we lacked desire against palace but then turn up a spirited performance like tonight.
