I agree but when you see the likes of a left back being linked, and him falling out with our left back in digne who up until Benitez arrived was one of our better players. Interms of chances created etc. when we need a right back more than anything. I still can’t trust him that’ll hell get rid of the right players in this clear out.

We’ve needed a left back regardless of the Digne situation (who has been poor for over a season now) as well as a right back. Squad depth is key - particularly with Covid playing it’s part, which we seem to have been quite lucky with so far. That might change quite soon though.

I can’t see a clear out in January. The players we need to get rid of have no stock, so he will probably look to bring in a few more players he knows. Let’s just hope they’re more like Demarai Gray than Rondon.

Digne was on the slide since his injury last season, well before Benitez
