The issue isn't the manager. It's the [Poor language removed] squad and Brands.

£300m on players in his tenure, on their 3rd permanent manager, 8th, 12th, 10th finishes in that time yet he was the constant in all of it.

Good result on the back of 20% possession, not my cup of tea that brand of football. I haven't even bothered going out of my way to watch last few games, not good enough. Good result but papers over cracks imo.

I agree with all that and I can't stand Benitez but I'm not sure that there was any other way to play that game with the team we had out.

The worry , for me , is that he would have played the same way against Chelsea with our first XI

I agree tbh, Chelsea are a good side with good players, but it isn't a one off, it's the norm and so I cba watching it, I really really don't enjoy backs to the wall football unless it's a one off for a particular game.

There are a lot of teenagers and players that turned 20 this season starting for premier league clubs at the moment
Plenty of first team regulars in all clubs that started for the first team when teenagers too and improved as a result of it.
Che/Liv/Utd/Ars/City/Tot and the rest all do it

Don’t think brands signed a single one of them like

But our form before the last 10 games was way above relegation form. So when you average it out you end up where we are which is bottom half but not in relegation problems. Not good enough by any stretch but it’s just inaccurate to take our worst run of games of the season and use it as evidence of our upcoming relegation .

Genuine question, how can you say the last 10 games are not relegation form?

i dont wanna resort to insults and mud slinging as this is what has been created but just how can you justify that statement?
