Haha ultimatum?

“Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright, has made his feelings clear to Farhad Moshiri. Rafael Benitez’s time at Everton Football Club now lie in the hands of Farhad Moshiri”

Again, good effort on spinning a narrative lad.
If it's not an ultimatum what is? He's washed his hands of him so now it goes to Moshiri to decide his fate? That doesn't quite fit. He's the chairman.

The meaning of the tweet was clear: "I've made my mind up, act on it."

Obviously Kenwright would never have done such a thing - he knows his leverage is zero on hiring and firing, and he values his status as Chairman too much.

That is the very point some of us have tried to make on here. His past career is irrelevant as football has moved on. His tactics are found out and he either refuses to or isn’t capable of adapting.
He is a man with huge experience of football and of handling players. His record speaks for itself. Look at the performance last night. I'm willing to guess that you and others thought we would get humped 4-0. Well, it didn't happen.

That's not necessarily down to him. Luck played a part. But he must have galvanised those young players to go out and do that.

Who else is going to come in and do that sort of thing? Tell me and I'll go along with it.

You're entitled to your view mate, but I cant go along with that.

Outside of the derby, I haven't seen a performance from Rondon that is even close to what Simms and Dobbin offered in terms of work rate and application.
Work rate was excellent. They didn't look at the races in terms of being cute enough in the box to make space and get a shot off though. The calibre of opposition had a lot to do with that like.

Once DCL and Richarlison are back I cant see them being in matchday squads. I'd go to them again though once we get safe.

I think Dobbin looked a little overawed on what was effectively his debut, and probably has to learn this isn't the 23's where you can skin a player easily, if the ball drops you pull the trigger.

Honestly with Simms, I don't think he even got near a shot. But I thought his hold up play was decent, some nice touches and won some headers. I'll be honest I didn't think he had that in him at all. His defensive work was also good, he took up really smart positions in front of the 2 banks, and he works well off the ball.

Dobbin really impressed me as an 18 year old lad though. Seen some comparisons to Vaughan which seem apt, but also Francis Jeffers when he first arrived, who was very sharp with his movements, his debut at Derby all those years ago was very similar.

I thought they both did very well, and played a role in what was a very good team performance.

But yes, when DCL and Richarlison are back they won't get a look in, but the experience of getting some game time, and working on the training pitch will do them some good. The younger players did the team proud last night.

They should have had their chance before this, at home to easier opponents.

I am still a bit surprised at games like Palace and Brentford they weren't put on mate. I mean a lad like Dobbin could easily buzz around what Rondon could do in the final 20 minutes.

I have slaughtered Rondon, but one defence I will put is I'm not sure he is really up to doing 90 minutes game in game out regularly. It's not necessarily a binary choice, but having Simms can help alleviate some pressure on him too.

Rondon was better on the derby, and pinned the Palace defence quite well off the bench. I suspect they are the stints he needs to be left to do.

Correct. The result was 1-1 but we did get humped for 90 minutes in every other metric

Saw him come to the away end sheepishly last night, got a battle to get on the the good side of us hoping maybe the penny might drop that stubborn tactics won't wash ,youngsters showed what we want passion no fear and no negative football, thought they were great imo.
