Yes I am not saying otherwise. Just saying that at 2-1 down regardless of them taking there foot off the gas the game was poised. What is it that you don't understand. **I am not bigging up benitez or trying to defend him with that statement I am just stating a fact.

The Benitez haters really need to calm down as they are getting eaten up with hatred and talking sh!te

Because I never had a go at Benitez I suppose that kid (kev the rat) will give me the finger. It does make me chuckle
I didn't say you were having a go at Benitez, what are you on about?

Definitely in the minority here but if Ancellotti,Koeman, Silva or Martinez only had £1.7 million to spend they wouldn't be getting this grief......Sheedy was a red...Dave Watson was a red......two biggest Evertonians you could ever meet now......if the manager was from outer space I'd support him.....and also if he gets his funds and is crap I'll want him out....but he's had nothing...add the injuries to that and it's a joke.....I'm just as much a blue as anyone on here.....support the club....if he's gash give him grief then.....you can see he's trying his best with what he's got.....he even mentioned the spirit of the blues in his interview yesterday......he's trying to get the fans on board......we need to back him.....I only post on here a few times a year..and yes im a bit drunk...but let's stick together blues...back our Manager.....them fans at Chelsea were amazing the other night...I felt so proud to be a blue......I'll post again next year...happy christmas to all Evertonians x

Alternatively, I think Ancelotti, Koeman, Silva and Martinez would be getting grief if they'd only achieved 6 points out of possible 33.

The restrictions on money and injuries can be provided as mitigation, but performance on the pitch has is the main barometer.

He is a man with huge experience of football and of handling players. His record speaks for itself. Look at the performance last night. I'm willing to guess that you and others thought we would get humped 4-0. Well, it didn't happen.

That's not necessarily down to him. Luck played a part. But he must have galvanised those young players to go out and do that.

Who else is going to come in and do that sort of thing? Tell me and I'll go along with it.
The youngsters did themselves proud. Begs the question really why he has persisted with Rondon for so long before giving them a chance. They’d have never got near the pitch if this Covid scare hadn’t reared it’s head. I’m delighted we got a point at Chelsea, but, let’s keep it real, the team selection was forced on Benitez, Pickford played out of his skin and if Chelsea had been in any way proficient in front of goal we’d have been hammered.

Take the positive from this, Benitez set them up to frustrate Chelsea and, for various reasons, it worked, enjoy it, but, managerial master class, not really. As to who else could come in and do it, this is exactly the kind of team selection you would expect from a young progressive coach, Lampard, Potter etc. they would not be obsessed with playing experienced players even when they are struggling, see Rondon, Coleman and Iwobi for example.

I do marvel at the apparent hubris he has displayed in becoming our manager,
Currently his family members have suffered vitriolic online abuse and their family home is apparently under permanent police surveillance.
Who else would put their own family through this unnecessarily?

If it's not an ultimatum what is? He's washed his hands of him so now it goes to Moshiri to decide his fate? That doesn't quite fit. He's the chairman.

The meaning of the tweet was clear: "I've made my mind up, act on it."

Obviously Kenwright would never have done such a thing - he knows his leverage is zero on hiring and firing, and he values his status as Chairman too much.
Well, it’s not an ultimatum is it? Bill is the chairman but has zero say in who is appointed and fired. So bill making his feelings known to Farhad isn’t an ultimatum unless he said, sack him or I go…now that’s an ultimatum, which was never tweeted. So no, it’s not an ultimatum, it’s reads as a chairman making his feelings clear to the owner on what he would like to happen.

And it’s very plausible as Farhad chose him, not Bill or Brands. I wouldn’t put it past Bill to do that to get internal friends and maybe media friends on his side should the inevitable happen, and he can spin his story by saying ‘I told farhad’ etc etc.

I know I`ve said it before, I`ll say it again, we were laughing at Arsenal when Arteta when he went in there.... Youngest squad in the league and sat in the top 4.

Makes you want to cry really.

Listening to his interview he comes across very well, he said when he went in he told the club how they were gonna run and give them an idetity to follow, all paying dividends now.

I know which position I`d rather be in out of the two clubs.........

If his word would have no effect, why say it? He had too much to lose by getting in touch with Moshiri to try and persuade him into what he wouldn't do post derby. Anyone who appreciates the dynamics of that relationship and how Kenwright is completely dependent on Moshiri will know that Kenwright making it plain to Moshiri that he wouldn't support Moshiri's appointment as manager is a fantasy. But the *ITK* claimed it.

Mate the board is goosed. We’ve got Moshiri, Bill, and brands at the time all meddling and looking at players. Bill and Farhad I’m sure talk a lot, it’s perfectly feasible, if bill said I think he should go but it’s your decision Farhad. I think most evertonians including Bill would say that to farhad, especially if you were in a working relationship with him.

Not so soon after Moshiri had publicly backed Benitez and the crisis had been lifted after the Arsenal result...it sounds like a fantastical claim to get clicks to me.

And there was absolutely no reporting elsewhere on that "conversation" as far as I'm aware.

I'm calling BS on that story. He might get bits and pieces right on other things, but being privy to BK and Moshiri's conversations I'm not having.

Maybe your right, maybe he knows something was said. I don’t know. But it’s still very plausible that it could of been said. I’m sure lots of things happen that the media don’t get hold of or don’t speak about, but I would bet if Benitez was/is sacked, the journo’s would spout about how Bill had insisted on it happening a while back to make him look good. Standard pawns being moved into position by Bill I think.
