It's not beyond the realms of possibility that the club would monitor social media and try to influence content and opinion.

A former employer went to great lengths to monitor individuals and subsequently influence broader social media narratives about their reputation and a controversial redundancy programme. It all came out via staff who submitted Subject Access Requests.

So you know, not unheard of. Albeit a different context.

Fans of other clubs are very welcome mate - provided they're open about it.

Now you've admitted you're not an Everton fan, will you share what team do you support and why are you so invested in Rafael Benitez?

It's nothing personal, we've only had one report against your account. You just happened to be representative of a fair few on here - there's a handful within a radius to your area - closer to Goodison than 95%+ of our traffic - who are pretty big Benitez, rather than Everton fans. They're not open about that - but it's pretty clear.

Can you see why that would appear odd?

I'm hopeful by going public, if there is any shenanigans going on then it'll deter it.
Fair enough mate.. I come from Liverpool and I am a supporter of the Chinese Team Dalian Pro... I like Benitez because he has done so much for the City of Liverpool where I live and supports some local worthwhile charities. He has made the Merseyside area his home and has shown admirable courage to take on a job which was stacked against him before he even got in the door. He has had his personal safety threatened his family made to feel uncomfortable and even when he has done well he has had any credit taken away from him by an element of the support.
All the man is trying to do is try to give once great football club some credibility in the modern game by restoring some of its tradition and values which have sadly been lost over best part of thirty years.... the job in hand was always going to based on upsetting the apple cart with some of the establishment.. making unpopular and difficult decisions and basically sorting the mess out of about five previous managers... this was no quick or overnight fix..
Moshiri put him there to steady the ship and make the club stable before it moves to the new stadium.. do you all forget.. this manager was grilled in about fifteen interviews before being offered the job so they know what his plans are inside out...

Anyway gonna leave this here for now...

Fair enough mate.

We've never had so many non Everton fans based in Liverpool be such staunch supporters of a manager - or Chinese team Dalian Pro.

Please do keep posting - perhaps consider getting involved in other areas of the forum

All I want for Christmas is a Dalian Pro Away kit..

The home crowd ultimately see off a manager though.

A small section of angry away fans will do nothing to make Moshiri sit up and take notice.

Those same away fans were cheering the players on against Chelsea as they were seeing effort on the pitch.

Football fans are fickle like that - 1-2 wins and that bedsheet gets put back in the airing cupboard.
You just said it yourself.

Cheering the players on. Not cheering the manager on.

‘Fickle’ is the last word I would use to describe our away support. They are the best of us.
