Hmmmm so you saying Reina.. Alonso.. Garcia... Mascherano.. Arbeloa.. Torres to name but a few were not decent and played hoofball... he also wanted to sign Gareth Barry while across the park who turned out to be a decent enough player too...
I just think given the right funds Benitez could attract some really good players and with those players get the team playing a type of game people will like and accept..
Yes

WHU slip down the table when injuries start to hit.

We were 6th in the table until the likes of DCL, Richarlison, Doucoure and Mina picked up 6+ week lay offs.

Hilarious that Bielsa and Moyes get the injury excuse whilst Benitez doesn’t, even though we’ve been calling this since the start of the season.

The best is ‘look how Bielsa has had to deal with injuries’…yeah he’s been in the bottom three….

You can expect that I hope you hold Benitez to his own estimation which was 7th

And what was regarded as par by his defenders when he joined.
i know that this has been done to death, but it is no surprise to me that a squad that finished tenth last season, limping over the line, desperately needing investment and decimated with injuries is in the position that it is in.

We have carried on with the form from the second half of last season.

The idea that anyone would improve the team after losing two of the most creative players (Siggy and James) plus two other forwards (King and Bernard) yet only be given £1.7m to spend on the squad, and make a difference is ridiculous.

We didn't "lose" James, we (and by "we" I mean Benitez) binned him off.

King and Bernard contributed pretty much nothing last season (and I'm someone who quite liked Bernard).

Y'know, if you'd said that 15 years ago you'd have more traction. But he's been punted by a few big clubs and arguably dismantled winning teams, so you look silly now. The giddy heights of 15th and an absolute fisting in the Derby scream winner.

As opposed to all the winners we’ve had in charge for the last 27 years. Hmmmm.

I don’t know how to break it to some people here but we’re not on Pep’s shortlist of places that are a step up from City.
We’ve got a pretty horrific squad and a dire club organisation married with some delusional and objectionable fans.

He won everywhere he went. It has been done to death...
Give him a chance.

No Moyes please. Couldn't score in a brothel with 350 quid in his backpocket

Hi mate, whee have you been hiding? All coming out to bite on the Moyes-Benitez bait tonight aren't we?
