Think back to the last few years, whoever we had in the team if Richarlison was out we didn't hold out much hope. He is a finisher and given the chances that some missed today he would have slotted. Mina might save us one of those 3 that were conceded, Townsend can cross to give DCL sone service.

As you suggest, I thought he’d at least be a top coach who’d have the team regimented to defend set pieces and organised ahead of that but we look a shambles.

He can set up a team, he has a style of play, he improves players. I reckon he is one of many, many mangers whom would get more of a tune out of this squad than Rafael Benitez is.
