The on/off sacking of Benitez.

He's been "on the verge" of being sacked for the last 3 months and he's still here and about to spend more cash on more players.

What's that saying? Change the things you can change and acdept those things we cant?

That fits the bill here.

Settle down for the season and then we can address the situation then.

You believe he won't get sacked but do you think he should that is the question.

….to be fair, I don’t think that’s true. @davek feels the same way we do about the Reds and is an Evertonian first and foremost. What surprises me is his absolute devotion to Benitez.

He might be right in saying Benitez is here for the duration, he might be chuffed he’s forced Brands out of the door but the catastrophe thats happening on the pitch has to be the most significant concern to us all.
I used to think that Eggsy, but some of the stuff he's posted this season and his stated desire for us to lose against Chelsea (and by implication Man City) have made me doubt this. His obsession with the RS and his nonchalance towards Everton's current predicament have made me doubt my earlier conclusion.

Where we definitely are in agreement is our bafflement at his "defend Benitez at all costs" stance, it defies logic (no matter what he would say in the matter).

He’s taking us down mate. Need to get rid now

Let me ask you this... Are you happy with the direction the club is heading?
Results-wise right now? No. The start made in shaking this rotten club to its foundations? Yes.

As far as Ilm concerned, that is Benitez's historical task: to take a blow torch to the vested interests.

I hope he get the time to do it by settling his own players in quickly to stop the poor results.

This ludicrous situation is where we find ourselves.

This man has been given full control, in spite of being a terrible fit for Everton.

The fuse on his tenure is burning, I’ve got no idea how long it is, but it will explode.

What a catastrophe of a football club.
Been here 6 months.

……not even favourite to be sacked.

The manager Everton should have gone for was on the touchline today. In the away end. The more i think of it the more i realise Everton just did an Everton last summer. Another poor call.
A progessive positive good footballing coach was right there in front of us to give a bigger platform to. No guarentees but when is there. We should have jumped on board with his vision though of how he likes to play the game. And got behind it. At least a bit of a plan and direction.
And we went with the total opposite.
A has been dour negative dinosaur.
This club is dead. Its got no direction. No vision. No structure. Playing wise.
It just blunders from one error to another.
Benitez is an awful error.
