To some extent, benitez has been gambling with his tactics.

We win today and I'm sure he would have felt justified for the odd tactics / player selection. We lose again and it feels like he is using it as a barometer for how much investment he needs.

So rather than being held accountable , the board are probably summing the problem up as one of the above.

The on/off sacking of Benitez.

He's been "on the verge" of being sacked for the last 3 months and he's still here and about to spend more cash on more players.

What's that saying? Change the things you can change and acdept those things we cant?

That fits the bill here.

Settle down for the season and then we can address the situation then.
you'll make your decision in the summer will you?

Dave would rather Everton be relegated as long as Liverpool finish second. It's weird.

….to be fair, I don’t think that’s true. @davek feels the same way we do about the Reds and is an Evertonian first and foremost. What surprises me is his absolute devotion to Benitez.

He might be right in saying Benitez is here for the duration, he might be chuffed he’s forced Brands out of the door but the catastrophe thats happening on the pitch has to be the most significant concern to us all.

Let me ask you this... Are you happy with the direction the club is heading?

No mate. Like you, I really wanted him to be given a chance and for us all to get behind him. But today’s lineup was a bit like drawing names from a hat. Coleman is not good enough in his own position, he’s bleeding less than useless in any other. No, today was a watershed……..

He'll get all his own players inand then be judged.

That will be the owner's take on this.

The demnands for his sacking: I dont take serioulsy. It's not serious discussion; it's feet stamping.
Where have I said I demand his sacking, I didn't want him in the first place and I still don't want him now.He brought in five player's in the summer and the one who has looked decent there's still a question mark over who it was who really signed him, for me that doesn't give me any confidence in trusting him with whoever he chooses to bring in this month.I think it would be unbelievably stupid to let him loose in the transfer market even if he's still here at the end of the season!

Are you lumping in with the people who think the manager is getting £40M this window and then getting sacked shortly?

Ludicrous if so.
This ludicrous situation is where we find ourselves.

This man has been given full control, in spite of being a terrible fit for Everton.

The fuse on his tenure is burning, I’ve got no idea how long it is, but it will explode.

What a catastrophe of a football club.

40m? In comparison to other windows? Yip there's belief in him. We'll recoup that in the summer watching Richarlison go, or Calvert-Lewin.
That figure of '40m' is from where and is based solely on incomings when all season the story has been 10-15m available?
It's rotten Dave and you know it, and having el Gordo steer us through the biggest stitstorm in memory is no reason to get all gloaty. He's driving us onto the rocks and is becoming an even bigger division than Kirkby or Kenwright.
