A major dilemma for the EFC hierarchy.

I would guess 90% of fans wishing to see him binned immediately.

The January transfer window now active, one player signed, and 2 or 3 others mooted to follow.

With Brands being history, presumably these are all being sanctioned by Benetiz.

I think they will now gamble by keeping him in position.

Given the squad, current tactics, and Benetiz himself, it will be touch and go if we survive.

Aye, he calls us “short sighted” but haven’t noticed him giving us a timeframe he feels is realistic that his friend can be expected to demonstrate any improvement in the squad in any aspect.

Heck if Benitez just sorted out our abysmal defending at set pieces it would be a start but presumably it is “short sighted” to expect that in within 6 months. Although I don’t recall it being this bad under Ancelotti so he’d also need to explain how long the period of “being worse so you can get better” would need to last too.

It's out of order to have a go at the fans for wanting the manager out. I didn't see people calling the fans when they turned on Martinez, allardyce, Koeman or Silva. All of which have performed better than benitez.

Our team is nowhere near as bad as the performances have been. If we carry on as we are, we will be relegated. It's that simple.

Don't think there is any dilemma any more.
They've made the decision to back him so he's safe for this month at least.

He hasn’t inherited 6 points in 36?
He didn’t inherit Rondon.
He didn’t inherit the worse win ratio of any manager in our history.
He didn’t inherit the worst derby defeat at home in 40 years.
He didn’t inherit the worse form in the league.

He is absolutely indefensible, silva, koeman, Martinez and allerdyce had better records than him and got sacked by Moshiri. Why is he still here?

How do you know? Seriously what proof do you have that the sole issue regarding the state of the club is Benitez?
Comparing against last season when it was under very different circumstances and we are a few players down when most around have improved is not a fair comparison.
Didn't we have one of our worst home records in history last season?

I am a fan with maybe a different to some others. We are stuck with this horrible situation but really feel that we just need to try and ride this out and stay in the premiership this season. The issue with Rafael is most didn’t want him and dont like him . We need points on the board and that is all that matters

Nobody put a gun to his head and told him to play coleman on the left yest.
Thats not an inherited mess. Thats his mess.
