It is now - but a group of posters have demanded his head for a lot longer which imo is uncalled for regardless of your personal feelings towards the man.

This isn't a good squad that many managers can just walk into FF and get playing good stuff / winning many games it just isnt.
It's a squad that proved last year they are far better than what Benitez has got out of them so far.

You can't argue that. You'll try, but you can't.

Your arguments have now devolved into "Moshiri won't sack him" and "No other manager could change this". There's nothing actually positive you can point to as a reason why he deserves to stay in the job.

Regardless of whether people wanted him out from day 1 or some point after, the fact is he deserves the sack for his performance. You're willing to say he is struggling now, finally, after our worst form in over 30 years. That's form that any manager would earn the sack for.

He's made you and others look like tits claiming that he was going to fix everything, make us defensively solid, win us trophies.

But the fans were never going to take to Benitez, which makes it even more mental that the club still went for him.

Honestly, I think anyone else would've got two years. Benitez will be lucky to see out the season due to the pressure.

It is easy to say these things with hindsight, but any Everton fan knows that these players are brainless and most have seen off several managers now.

It does not matter how a team is set up if the players available make simple mistakes, do not track their men and cannot pass 10 yards.

Brentfords squad has been together a long time, under a manager they have had for a long time, using a system they have had for a long time. We don’t have that. Our first choice 11 is better than Brentfords. I am not sure about what we had to play with yesterday.

Behave yourself. Our squad have been together years too. It’s full of international players and we have a supposedly top class manager. There is NO excuse for being below Brentford.

I’ll tell you this - it’s better than Brentford’s squad.
Individually yes, but as a team they simply do not work and haven’t for some time.
Ancelotti struggled the same as Benitez is struggling. I expect this team (unless the 2 new signings + a.n.other make a significant difference immediately) to finish more or less where Ancelotti had them & Silva before that.
I’m not endorsing Tapastits by any means but there no escaping the generally poor recruitment over the last 5 years and I’m not sure any manager could make a silk purse from this particular sows ear imho.

The supporters hate the fat man Dave.

Your man is a dead man walking.
I started taking guff like this with a pinch of salt after I was assured that he was sacked after the derby...then after Palace.

It isn't happening. Not this season.

The best hope you have is that a change is made in the summer.

Settle down and stop mithering yourself.

You mean with the triple CL winner and current Real Madrid manager at the helm.

Will the same squad do similiar under a similiar level manager to Benitez/Koeman/Silva as thats the level of replacement you're looking at not a Ancelotti/Conte/Ten Hag/Kovac type everyone is drooling themselves over.

It does tho. Look at those corners. They can do better. that's down to coaching.
And if it's the players defying the coach, that's down to management.
Honestly, I may be naive but I don't think it's a lack of effort from the players, it's a lack of direction.
I always come back to the first half against Wolves, Allan and Keane were having words with each other about who should pick up the space between the lines. It was an argument that only comes about from bad coaching.
I think poor passing, tracking and marking is also a sign of poor coaching especially if the same players have shown they can do it.
Unless the players are abjectly useless and the club won't replace them, the book stops with the manager.

Quite interesting insight there mate. I do wonder if it's perhaps not the smartest idea to keep pushing zonal defence if the players are struggling to adapt to it.

I get that there's an argument that "if you don't try or practice, you'll never get better...". On the other hand, sometimes you've got to cut your cloth accordingly to the goons you have available.
Yes, that is a valid argument. But I do not think Bielsa suddenly starts with zone defense. Managers have their principles, and usually do not deviate from them very much. Maybe he just needs to find a better way to teach?

I said yesterday he's struggling, incorrectly played Keane and Holgate together and I wouldn't be fussed if he was sacked.

If that isn't criticism then I don't know what is...
Before the game you said 'your team' would include Holgate and Keane.

Saying he is struggling, isn't criticising him. It isn't being critical of his decisions and tactics etc, or of him.

Saying you aren't fussed if he is sacked, also isn't a criticism.

So no, you clearly don't know what criticism is. The only criticism in there is that he incorrectly played Holgate and Keane together. But that is sided with you saying you would have played them.

Ballache is right. This form is clearly the fan's fault. We should all be 'kin THRILLED at what Fatfa is doing.

All that wasted time & effort arguing with folks on here telling them its a better squad by getting rid of James and bringing his own players that can run a bit.

Not sure if you where in full wind up mode or the penny has finally dropped for you.

As I said then
We all know how this ends.
