Leave the kettle mate, it might blow up again!

Solid win for the blues against Hull and hopefully a couple more players in and deadwood out and things might feel a bit better. ?
Here's hoping Spadge. Definitely a long way to go than a Hull result but yeah few signings. Finish stronger than the first half this season. See what can happen. Kettle off.

So, you accept that it is not good enough, you say everyone can see its not good enough. He has the worst record of any Everton manager, including Mike Walker, and yet you defend him and want us 4o give him another year.

I suppose you realise that things are deteriorating rather than improving.

I'll tell you what, I'm going to do the Internet version of taking the shovel off you now to stop you digging yourself in even deeper, by not continuing this debate. You accept that the football is crap, you accept that the results are awful you can obviously see how untenable his position has become with the vast majority of the fans and yet...you want to give him till next Christmas, god help us all.
Well, we just have to wait and see. What we mean is really indifferent. It's just fun to discuss. We have different perspectives, and analyze the information differently. I respect that people think differently than me, and it is always fun to discuss with others who are able to articulate their opinions in a sensible way.

At first when he was appointed I was mortified.

Then I thought, what the hell, let’s give him a chance, he might surprise us and can he be any worse than how Silvas second season panned out or Martinez’s last 2 seasons.

Turns out he’s the worst of the lot of them.

For that reason, I’m out.
First time I read that I thought you’d come up with an alternative version to Gloria Gaynor’s - I will survive ?! Weirdly I then tried to fit the second paragraph into the song, before realising the error of my ways ?!

I tell ye wha, 3 quarters of the second paragraph fit the syllables also..

And the only reason he took Ashley on was because it deflected away from himself because he knew he wouldn't be sticking around at the end of his contract, thus had nothing to lose. He was always planning to walk out on his "beloved Geordies" for the Chinese money and yet they worshipped him for "being one of us". Talk about the delusion/stupidity of blindly fanatical football fans.

"Newcastle's board had a year to sort out my contract but, when we met after the end of last season, they didn't make me a proper offer.

"They told me they didn't want to invest in the academy or the training ground - if they like, I can explain the reason why Mike Ashley refused to do that.

"After that meeting, I knew they would not come back with a serious offer and, when it arrived, 19 days later, it was for the same salary as three years earlier and with less control over signings.

"After three years of unfulfilled promises, I didn't trust them."

Morning all. I'm new to the forum (Rangers supporter with a long held affinity for Everton). It seems there's a fair amount of negativity towards Benitez, is this due to his general performance as a manager or because he's an ex-manager of the other Merseyside team? This is a genuine question, I've not paid a great deal of attention to his career and I know that this situation would be unlikely to happen in Glasgow.

….welcome to the forum, Matey. As @maccavennie says, there were a lot of fans very unhappy with the appointment because of his background, but as a coach he’s turned out even worst than we expected.

There are a few regulars on here who still support him and one or two who almost gave him hero worship status but I think even the tide has turned a bit with them. Mysteriously, quite a number of new posters joined when Benitez was appointed & we suspect they are from the dark side.

I attended a fairly recent Old Firm match at Ibrox in the Players Lounge and as a neutral really enjoyed the experience, there have been lots of links between our clubs in my time from Alex Scott to young Patterson hope you enjoy your time here.

Even after Digne was pulled from the team, he even put out a diplomatic post on Instagram rather than a scathing rebuke. Benitez on the other hand is known for being bullish , abrasive and an egomaniac who routinely generates rifts with players

Sorry I disagree with this, that social media post from Digne was both childish and unprofessional. I said as much at the time. It was literally one big dig. If I was the manager of the club, after seeing that he would be gone.

Rafael doesn't routinely generate rifts with players, that's utter bull. A few prima Donna's who need a reality check only.

I am now fully convinced he is a Trojan horse from the RS sent to destroy the club from within.

We took 4 points from those red pieces of garbage last year so they sent in the poison, the checkmate piece, the final nail in the coffin, the ultimate virus, the weapon of mass destruction, and much worse to ensure that nothing even close to that happened this year. Bastards!

Rafael has surprised me by being much worse than I expected. I thought he would be bang average
but his signing of a semi-fit, old bloke who is on a farewell tour plus awful tactics, bad substitutions
and a failure to create any positive unity take the cake. The results speak for themselves.

I cannot wait to see the back of Rafael but do want him to get the big pay-off. He is a bluffer who talks rubbish
and who fell out with one of the team's few quality players. The tactics against Brighton were sabotage, the work of a double-agent.

I can only hope that the purchases that the Bluffer makes are young with lots of unrealized potential so that the queue of managers wanting to take over will be a long one. If Rafael picks a weak team against Hull then that changes and I want him out first thing on Monday.

…ha, ha, weird then that Carragher said; ‘he seeks confrontation, he actually thrives on confrontation it’s how he is’.

You’d think Carragher knows. I think he wants players who nod and don’t offer points of view, he wants players hanging on his every word. I ask myself how that must have worked with the likes of Gerrard & I think he’s cut from the same cloth.

Carragher says stuff for clicks. He used to rip Rafael to shreds at Newcastle and then share a helicopter ride home with him.
