What a shocker eh? I mean, imagine provoking Everton supporters by staying loyal to their manager?

You’re loyal to the manager but hate everything else about the club from its owner to the players to the staff. It’s very odd behaviour.

Hmm. I suspect they tie up deals for the players that the manager wants. If they are any good they may identify future prospects. I remember we took on the Leicester bloke who was useless.

We made their chief scout our DoF, and he was hamstrung by more or less the same issues as Brands: too many different people having their say on signings, no clear direction or chain of command when it came to recruitment. Baffles me that a billionaire can have seemingly no notion of corporate structure, but there we are.

He wasn't their DoF. He was a scout.

You can't say "nobody uses it here" then when told just about everyone does move the goalposts. They may get in a managers preference for a player or they may get in a managers chosen player. The point being the idea a DoF doesn't work in England is just blatantly false.
