I wonder when the Arsenal are calling him up?
Not true. Benitez did two thing Carlo struggled to do last season. He came back to win a game after scoring first and we had more shots on goal than our opponent.
+ He seemed tot care. Just like the players, they all showed a lot of effort, even when things were not going great in the first half.

Finally a manager that wants to be here and stay here. It's still an uphill road though.

Made the changes and got the players to play in a way that brings the crowd into the game. Can't really point any blame his way for a terrible mistake from Keane.

Happy for us to play direct with DCL and Richarlison but in the first half it was full on quidditch. That would be my only real criticism yesterday but we won from the exact scenario that usually spells doom for us over the last 5 years or so, so credit where it's due to the manager and the players.

It is insecurity if they can't praise the bloke because he's ex Liverpool.

There were young lads on that toffee tv video outside GP saying they still wont back him unless he wins the title with us.

Its petty insecurity/tribalism.
Conveniently ignore the second quote where you tell everyone to stand down and that it's time to get behind him after 1 win. Your way of saying I told you so which you denied you ever did and all you have done is praise the manager.

You can't claim all the "cult", as you say, would have been here saying I told you so (as no way to prove that) and claim you haven't when you literally have.

Of course its time you stand down - you've been predicting relegation battles all summer, calling Gray/Townsend donkeys and the manager a dinosaur then we go out and win 3-1 playing good football and had that donkey Keane not gifted them a goal would have been 3-0.

The fact you were stood up in the first place unwilling to give the manager a chance is exactly why I call it a cult its insane.

1 game.

Also never called them donkeys. Never predicted relegation battles. Yes I think Benitez style of football that he has played at his recent clubs is generally past it but never called him a dinosaur.

You can go and check if you like, but they are all baseless accusations at me and you have clearly missed any of the points of any of my arguments since we hired Benitez.

I'd be very surprised if we got anywhere near top 4 mate. I'd say 8th at best with the current squad. If Rodriguez leaves, they've got to find a replacement for his and Gylfi goals and assists.

6th or 7th should be the target...still 37 games left 19 wins needed :)

And lets face it if he wins the next 5 then the next 5 will be critical and so on and so forth as you'll never be happy with him mate you just said it yourself

"I dont want him"
"He's past his sell by date"

The owners will not listen to fans like yourself one bit why should they?

He's got the next 2 seasons to rebuild this squad of overpaid stroller cowards and the fanbase can either get behind the club or moan and deflect everything to suit an agenda on why we need to get rid and appoint Graham Potter or some flavour of the month from Sporting Lisbon who will no doubt have us finishing in the top 4 spending £1.5 million.

No. I said a few times that the first 6 league games up to United are crucial. He needs results or the fans will turn on him even before the 7th match against united.

Hes also not spent £1.5mil

It will be a lot more than that once fees, bonuses and wages are included.

Most people dont dislike him as hes ex RS...hes just not the type of manager to take the club forward.

Hes not had a 2nd half like that in a decade.

So Ancelotti likely spent £100 million including wages, fees etc to finish 10th and 12th - so Benitez and his lesser spend can afford a lesser finish by that token.

The fans can moan all they want mate Benitez wont give a damn and neither will the ownership. They need to drop the rebel without a cause act and realise he's here for at least the next 2 years.

And who is the manager to take the club forward mate?

You answer me that question and I'll call for Benitez's head right this second.
