Thanks mate but I will say I don’t actually dislike Benitez the man. And as a manager I think he is actually a good candidate for the way the squad is right now

that being said I see him having significant flaws and ways of thinking that I just don’t see as being sustainable in the modern game. I don’t think he’s a dinosaur, though, and I think he ‘gets’ the club. I just think ‘getting the club’ is way overhyped

100% though, our squad is dead thin in certain areas and that today is not on Benitez

Toff, you’re probably the most sensible poster on here but I disagree with it wasn’t on him. Yes, excuses will be made that we had a couple of people out which is nothing new. Last season we had 8 people out and set up with a specific way of dealing with it.

But there was certain areas whereby villa looked to exploit and nothing was done to address it.

And the fact he played Iwobi up top from 60 minutes was Martinez levels of ridiculousness.

If Goat has gone off the reservation, we are well past the point of reason. You can't reason with people in that state. I tried for two decades. It didn't work out well.
