I dont understand ? I just think manager agents are unsavoury and make me wanna puke.

If you disagree that's fine. I think its sensible to me put its subjective.
You tend to come across as a bit of a wind-up merchant mate... my commenting is a gentle suggestion to consider how some of your posts might be taken... wumming is to be discouraged.
If you're not wumming, fine... but if you are, well you know how that's likely to pan out...

He comes across as a lot worse then that

I love the manager. I'll express that. I'm not pretending. I have positive things to say. Everyone was offering up there wife to carlo in jest this time last year and it was all well and good. But because some hate the manager its a wind up if you give high praise. Or exaggerated praise.

I'm winding no one up. Rest assured. I'm for real.

You don't have to position yourself at either end of the spectrum, mate, just somewhere in the middle.

I understand those that were against Benitez being appointed and don't blame them for feeling angry about it. Personally, I didn't want Benitez purely based on his recent record, not because he's ex-RS, although I did have concerns that things could turn nasty much more quickly if he had a bad start or bad run. I don't feel strongly about him managing the RS or about any comments he made about us while fighting his team's corner. Having said that, I should stress that I hate the RS with a passion. Not just the team, fans, etc, but the club itself.

Anyone who's seen the area around Anfield recently, with whole streets of houses boarded up and left to rot due to LFC's snide actions, knowing that it used to be a thriving area, would be angry. EFC are very much a community club. Community is at the very heart of our club and something we're very proud of, but LFC's actions were the antithesis of community. When you consider things like that, as well as the multiple other reasons to despise them, I can understand why some would never welcome anyone who has any kind of association with them.

For those who are staunchly pro-Benitez, some are going way over the top with their adulation for him. He's made a good start, but when I looked at our opening fixtures before the season started I thought they looked a lot less difficult than they could have been. We should expect to beat the likes of Norwich, Burnley and Southampton at home. I know it doesn't always work that way, but we should expect to beat some of the weakest teams in the league at Goodison. Those games were also a lot tighter than the scorelines suggest and were uncomfortable viewing at times.

I get that people are feeling positive about our good start and it's easy to get carried away. I suppose some of the praise for Benitez is exaggerated to counteract the negativity of others, or maybe just to wind them up. The team looks fitter, more positive, more aggressive and more resilient than the sorry mess we were in the latter part of last season. They're performing at a level I expect from the squad we have. Benitez deserves credit for that.

In an ideal world, I wouldn't want an ex-RS manager, but while he's here I want him to do well because I want my team to do well.
Could not put it better myself. Well said mate.

I'll head the advice and disclaim im not on a wind up when I post.

Haven't been on here for while, smart decision by the look of it.

Not sure I understand the equivalence between 'both sides' - wanting manager to do well (ergo team winning) + want FSW/pig to be sacked (ergo team losing).

Maybe I'm missing something?

Great Post. Personally I love the fact Rafael is sort of Moyes with better credentials. I dont feel we will get in trouble and think we will go to Utd looking to win. His signi gs have been a revelation and I can't wait until the teams of his choosing.

Apparently you're the devil incarnate if you have the temerity to dislike the manager.
Also because you dislike the manager this automatically equates to you being the anti-Everton and wishing all things evil and wrong upon them.

I think that just about covers it...

None of us want to see Everton losing, but it’s understandable Benetiz will never have the full support of the fanbase and that’s understandable, judging by his previous comments. He had an even more toxic relationship with the chelsea fans, but led them to Europa League success. It shows he’s quite bloody minded and is only totally focused on the job in hand. In some ways that might be a positive with the squad he has inherited.

And on the other hand if you don't show dislike for the manager, you get branded as a kopite by some!
