Is Ronaldo that great anymore? Not saying he isn't a marvel considering his age and he will get them plenty of goals no doubt as he's still a good player and dangerous I'm just not convinced he's the natural wonder he's still made out to be by gushing fans and media.
As with their manager, to me, united seem to be living in the past, and wallowing in nostalgia when they should have been looking to move on and bring in young up and comers like Ronaldo once was.
I suspect he'll have a bad effect on their dressing room and undermine the manager and don't believe he'll end up winning them a title but may end up hindering their progress in the long run.
Wishful thinking maybe!

We've been more than average in patches though, haven't we. All I'm saying is I've not really seen these signs of a sustainable way of playing that others have. I'm pleased with the intensity/effort etc, but I think we're missing a lot of quality (injuries not helped there) and also look a bit hap-hazard defensively from certain situations.

But we've been poor as much as we've been good, and that's why I said it's a 7/10 for me, cause the results have at least been there.

Level on points after 6 games with City, Chelsea & Utd. Yet you choose to criticise performance levels! Seem Benitez can’t really win, if any of our previous managers had started off the same, especially with the squad Benitez inherited, they wouldn’t be getting it. We’ve even come from behind twice to win, he’s on a hiding to nothing. I find that quite sad, that the fans won’t fully embrace the manager even when winning.

Yes i do choose to criticise performance levels, that's not to say I won't be happy if Benitez gets it going.

The results so far have been there. Great.

But that won't last forever.
