I’ll admit I didn’t want him, but acknowledge he is doing a very good job. The only way to win over any remaining dissenters with regard to his ability to manage the club, would be to beat the RS with goodison at full volume in November.

I was more thinking of a last minute winner at the pit with Benitez running over to the Kop and dropping his kecks to reveal 'small club my arse' written on his buttcheeks.

God bless.

People forgetting QPR reserves played you off the pitch?

A few lucky results has brainwashed you all.
Hi Bri........... little bit of porn for you xxx

Absolutely sickening to see so many "blues" jizzing over the fat Spanish waiter.

You're the "fans" that allow the "small club" tag to stick.
Unfortunately , you lad , need to give your head a wobble , in my opinion , and give credit where it is due. Small club , ridiculous , the way to get rid of that tag for us to do better.
Rafael hopefully will get us back to where a club of our size belongs.
Did you go to the game yesterday, or any others recently ?.

Except it didn't stick because it was obviously nonsense.

If someone calls a big club a small club then it would either be ignored or instantly dismissed and forgotten because it wouldn't occur to them as a possibility.

The only thing small club about us is the fans who possibly due to their own insecurities refuse to let the grudge drop.

Well in Stu, top popcorning.....:coffee::coffee:

Fans being appreciative of a manager that clearly cares and is putting in the hours to get the players doing the job he wants them to. Watch the games mate, watch Benitez continually on the sideline give instructions and coach the players through the game, whether it be the 1st or 90th minute. Id rather that than some Manager who has had his day and has lost the desire or commitment to put the effort in.

FWIW i would say the 'fans' who cannot get over the fact that someone made a comment a number of years ago are the ones who continue to keep our team branded with the small club tag. Lets forget about the good work that has been achieved so far, nah id rather harp on about something that was said 10 or so years ago, which in all honesty was said in a heat of the moment after we had defended for 90 minutes with little to no attacking threat. That is definitely more pertinent to now....

Jesus Christ i bet you bring up every argument you have ever had with your partner and use it as a weapon, rather than move forward.

It's not insecurities, it's love for Everton. The people who are making this stand, love and care for the club more in my opinion. Those who understand need no explanation. Those who don't do not matter.

Love and care for the club by rejecting someone who has the potential to stabilise and improve club performance because he hurt your feelings a couple of decades ago.

Some hate him, some appreciate what he has done despite not wanting him originally (or even still) and lastly the small group who really like him or they like to take that standpoint for the needle it provides.

I would hope we can start to draw a line under all of this and just get on supporting the club. It is wrong for @StuBarlow to launch an unprovoked attack on (as he puts it) "fans" just as it's wrong for the pro Benitez side to do the same to the anti Benitez people.

If anyone thinks Everton supporters need to be neatly boxed with everyone thinking the same thing then they would be 100% incorrect.

I was Anti-Benitez as an appointment...though tbh, I'm not sure just who else there was...not that I or We had a say anyway.
Now I'm not - for now.
I'm not a Happy Clapper though.
He's doing OK - up to now.
When he starts doing stuff I think is wrong (blethering on about moments, philosophies, playing zonal marking, putting sq. pegs in round holes, knives to gunfights attitudes and other such shenanigins) and the medium to long term results and types of performances drop off...like the Bovril Blowers last 2/3 months.

Then I'll be anti again...but it won't be Anti Benitez because he's an ex rs etc, it'll be because he's not getting performances like Vs United out of the Team.

Do well = degsy happy
Everton Supporter 101.
