well the price puts the Stones deal in perspective. They have a reputation, whether rightly or wrongly. It sticks. Same as English players not doing well abroad etc. which is why you can count on almost one hand the amount of English players who have gone to Spain, and less who have done well.

maybe its because nobody had a fecking clue earlier and were just making it up?

besides I thought it had already been decided by the Wool brigade on here that it doesn't matter how good a players is it's how much you spend in comparison to the the other clubs in the league that demonstrates how good a window you've had.
