i watched him play 3 full 90 minutes recently mate, but those were on youtube yes.

Also you should take in what else vickery has said, with the likes of the honduran who played for wigan, scocco, rafael being a right winger, paulinho being a successful as lampard and gerrard, and vergini. All of those players he claimed would be successful, but they weren't, so you take what he says and then you look at the other things he has said too.

I will dismiss what he says, especially at first because our manager knows better than he does, as do our scouts, as does the Argentina, and River Plate manager.

Don't you think it'd be more insane to dismiss what all of those people, who work in actual football, two of them at the top level.. and believe someone who has been wrong a lot.. and is just a journo?

Great post mate.....journalists in general were the devil incarnate for the last few months, now all of a sudden this one knows better than our manager. Writing an opinion which nobody ever calls you back on is such an easy way to make a living - imagine TV actually trying to be a real manager in a high pressure role....

He will be fine if the Everton fans receive him like this

Looks amazing that mate, superb atmosphere. Is that at your home ground? Is there any away fans there? It's a lot easier for fans in the u.k to travel to away games but I think the one thing Mori might be surprised by is our away support and how many fans we take everywhere.

If there's a game on and Everton are playing in it you can guarantee there will be a following and usually a large one.

Definitely worth you taking a look at some videos if you wanted to and see Everton in Europe taking 8,000 to France, 12,000 Germany, 5,000 Portugal.

Really looking forward to seeing Funes Mori play for us.

I will begin this post with the proviso that I do not want to get banned for bad language.

Two points. Firstly, the 9.5 million pounds can be easily verified by what River declare to the Argentine tax authorities - they will be over this like a bad rash to get their share. I honestly don't believe it and can imagine that it includes top ups for winning the premier league and breaking Ian Rush in two.

Vickery is a hack who watches highlights shows from his apartment in Rio via a Directv subscription. The Brazilian real has crashed against hard currency so he needs To get paid for his articles twice as much as he used to. The bit about premier league managers consulting him is magic.

I salute his desire to make a living. His analysis is deliberately designed to be controversial. Not physical enough? I saw him, in a brutal match against Boca, ref kept his whistle in his pocket, kick 10 shades of green stuff out of everything in a blue and yellow jersey that moved. If he don't make it, it won't be for that.

Ignore that Brazil in based attention seeker. He can't see the highlights on directv when there is thunder and that happens a lot in Rio.

Martino is not Maradona. He promotes genuine talent. He said funes mori will be an international centre half for years.

Relax and give the lad a chance.

That is Rivers El Monumental stadium for the COPA Libertadores final v Tigres of México. I am sure you saw Funes Mori. The atmosphere at River -Boca matches is even more intense. Many people consider it the World's greatest clásico even though it's nowadays unlike the quiet recent past not the best quality wise but the atmosphere is incomparable.River as a club in terms of support is enormous with about 125000 members the reason we sell players to Europe is the members own the club which also has maybe twenty other sports which are supported by the football. Our football school remains among the World's best and includes a university have a look at www.cariverplate.com or www.riverplate.com.
Right now in Argentina for home league matches away fans are banned but not for international matches.River I would say will bring 30000 fans to Japan for the World club championship.I would love to see any videos of Everton a club with great tradition like ours and unlike the PSG and Manchester City outfits who want to buy everything. I remember the great team Everton had that won European titles maybe in the nineties?Have you anything on those?

Melli is short for Mellizo which means twin. His twin brother Rogelio also learned his trade at River as center forward but he wasn't as successful as Ramiro and was a pet hate of the River fans who are notoriously hard to please. He moved to Benéfica then went to Turkey and now he's taken off at Monterrey in Mexico where he is one of the liga Mx top scorers.Passarella loved Rogelio and thought he could have been a Batistuta type powerful center forward but he missed incredible goals the year River were relegated and he couldn't cope with the pressure but he is in a good place now

Hello there. Thanks for the infos about our new player. Could you please tell us five reasons why river plate fans loved Melli so much?

South American football expert Tim Vickery warns Everton fans about new signing Ramiro Funes Mori.

The defender cost the Toffees £9.5 million from Argentine giants River Plate.

Of the signing, Vickery says: "He does not have the quality, the pace or the physicality to survive in the Premier League".

"Roberto Martinez has a blind spot when it comes to signing directly from South America. He dropped an almighty brick with Mauro Boselli at Wigan, who scored a total of 0 Premier League goals."

......let's hope he turns out to be really good and we can all remind TV of his forecast.
