I'd already seen that article mate.

There's a later quote saying he's got an
Italian passport recently.

If it turns out that he's not eligible for a work permit then @AaronTheBlue will be spending a couple of days in Gulag. The transfer window thread clearly states mods will create new, player specific rumour threads. If someone ignores that guidance then they have to be very certain of what they're doing.

I think this is only fair.
k'off.

Power mad you lot

And he'll get minutes. I'm very confident he'll start against Barnsley next to either Pennington or maybe Funes Mori if he signs. With our injuries we have Galloway/Oviedo left back, Stones/Jags/Browning/Penno/Robinson at centre, and Coleman/Penno/Holgate/Robinson right back. He'll get minutes in the cups I'm sure.

Is 90 minutes vrs Barnsley enough for a lad who is the same age as John Stones/Ben Gibson etc. I would hate to see the lad go stale as his attitude seems spot on

Does anyone follow Argentinian football? Is he any good?

One or two lads on here have watched a River Plate game or two and suggest he's decent. Tim Vickery, South American football correspondent for the BBC, has watched him since he came through at River Plate and doesn't rate him too highly.

Personally, I first scouted him playing one-on-one with his brother in the foothills of Mendoza. Due to their poverty, the brothers tended not to play with a standard issue football but rather the discarded Malbec grapes left over from the annual wine harvests, which, as you can imagine, helped both develop a delicate first touch. I've followed Ramiro's (I call him "The Ram") career closely ever since and can confirm he has a 48 for curve, an 80 'beast rating,' and an anxiety toward his own masculinity not dissimilar to Borges's account in the semi-autobiographical short story El Sur.

Aaron mate, I hope you realise that if he doesn't sign, you're getting stick.

And if he does sign but is gash, you're getting stick.

And if he does sign and is ace, no one will remember your info or praise.

So I really have to question why you're commandeering the Funes express.

I'm getting some strange looks at work after some genuine LOL ing at this.

i guess i just don't care mate, i'm a renegade hero out of some crappy novel.

Think he will be with the rest of the immigrants at the Calais tunnel trying to get in.

The FA will use this to make everyone sit up and let them know that this new deal with the home office is legit and to make clubs aware they mean business this time and will throw the appeal out of the window.

This is Greg Dyke's baby , he will stop this deal in its tracks.

Thank goodness, someone who actually knows about the bloke!

If this guy is half as good for the club as Jags has been then he'll be a tremendous signing.
I have no problem with Jagielka as a centre back. He's been a very good signing. I just dont see him as an organiser of the defence or leader on the pitch. And way too many times we've seen crosses into the box simply not dealt with. He isn't totally to blame, but he is the senior figure and I always tend to think if it goes wrong in that box then it's right to point the finger at him.

Hopefully Mori can give us some aggression in both boxes.
