Becoming more pleased with this now. Apparently he lived in the US for years when younger so probably speaks fluent English, and all the River Plate fans (and some other Argentine fans) I can find on the internet are waxing lyrical about him. Couple examples:

"He is a solid CB, starting in all River Plate recent success. He has good ball control and is great anticipating. Great Everton move, he is involved with Argentina NT as well."

"Eventhough River will really miss him, i'm extremely happy for Ramiro and i'm excited about him playing in the BPL. He deserved this opportunity."

"If we start from the bad things about him... Sometimes he makes stupid and innecesary fouls like this and can be a little dumb with his legs (compared to last year he improved A LOT). He has good ball control, he makes a lot of (good) crosses, good headers and can even hit free kicks!"

I like the "Can be a little dumb with his legs" comment, like he somehow mistreats his legs or leaves them at home and gets to work and realises he has to go back home for them.

This.

We all know we needed a 3rd centre back at an age in between Jags and Stones and this guy appears to be it. If we are linked to another centre back we can panic. As it is I am happy for Galloway and Browning to be the spare option and play in cups when needed as they both look good players for the future and need match time to get experience.

Yes we have lost Alcaraz and Distin. We only have 2 fit senior centre halves. In 12 months time hopefully Browning and one of Pennington/Galloway may be ready to play centre half. If we can get through that year, we could have a really strong defence.

Feel a little bit for Browning in this situation
Worked hard all pre season even came back early and asked to train with the u21s, played well over pre season and has been on the bench first two games.

Will Mori take his place on the bench to start with making Browning not even in the first team squad?

This move is perfect for our younglings.
Think about what VVD or Evans would have ment.
Mori will defo have long transition / settling period. This will motivate all. And he will bring huge potential to our defencive lineup

Did you want Browning to start the first couple of games?

Funes Mori goes to Everton and River loses a key
The defender of "Millionaire" multichampion of recent times will continue his career in the English club and the Club World Cup will be lost.

The defender Ramiro Funes Mori was transferred to Everton of England in an operation that will leave River about eight million clean dollars. By defending the British institution offers him a contract for five years and, although the intention of the team led by Marcelo Gallardo is held until year-end, will leave the institution now travel to Europe next Thursday.

The operation was headed Tuesday noon after a meeting that took Enzo Francescoli, technical secretary of River, with Jorge Cyterszpiler, the player's agent. Having been in England, the employer presented the formal "Millionaire" offer, that last details of the fine print with Everton to complete the operation.

While Funes Mori had intentions of staying to contest the World Club, the fortune that the British are willing to pay for it do that, apparently, his desire to remain truncated.
