I don't think short term we can get rid of the barra in the Monumental or Amalfitana which I admit has been better run.
I absolutely believe we are as good as València or Sevilla who don't have as good a defence and not the quality of kranevitter and sanchez.
AS for European clubs not taking World club title seriously have a look at Madrids celebrations last year.South Europe understands the history of the battle between Europe and South America North Europe understands money as for football maybe Funes Mori should have stayed at home
Martino will decide
Madrid would celebrate the opening of a packet of peanuts. RS of Spain mate. World club championship started in 2001. Prior to that, it was a Friendly in Japan. Big joke mate, the world club championship is unfortunately nowadays called the Champions league.

Commentary is the best in Argentine football. In the middle of the game, the tool starts talking politics. Stuff like this.... you and your family would be dead without your government of national liberation. Por Dios!

And if you watch it with the sound off, you can't see the ball half the time because of the political adverts.

And the adverts on the side of the pitch? They don't even do that in Venezuela.

Btw- estoy tan feliz por lo de Niembro. Flor de HDp!

It's hard not to cheer for Everton and Funes Mori when Ramiro gave us so much in so little time.

I wish Kranevitter does terrible in Atlético de Madrid, though. That dude (can I swear here?) had "Mind at Europe" written in his forehead for months, as opposed to Ramiro, who was always thinking of and talking about River. As much as it was sad to learn he would be leaving for Everton, Kranevitter's signing for Atlético MID-SEASON was a kick in the balls. Unacceptable.

Once again, I wish he does terrible in Atlético. Will never forget this image, wearing Atlético clothes while playing for River:

the commentary is fantastic!!

precisely why when FIFA16 comes out next week i'll be buying the Latin American version. Improve my Spanish, awesome commentary, and none of that kopite martin.

and i'm with @chicoazul on Argie carne and Malbecs. (Drinking one right now.) Chile has good wines and steak, but what I had in BA and Mendoza was stellar. and surprisingly inexpensive.

finally the only big problem with River Everton is the color scheme... gotta go blue. and the other Everton in BA might get upset. but they're, what, 2nd? 3rd? division.

There'll be no Henderson on the front of the Latin American one too?

Out on 23rd.

Amigo you are so right the TV publica sure does give the government version of life but we have canal 13,clarín and La Nación for the other side tell me football wise who tells the anti Murdoch side of events in Europe where dictators oligarchs and vulture funds own the top teams while great clubs such as Everton are forever consigned to be also rans.
We won't even go into the politics.
On today's football the World club championship is certainly more valued in South America but Barca is already getting ready for it.

Nobody that I know of. Does anyone know of a media that isn't run by a pro-establishment puppet master? I'd love to know of one.

And as for the politics - look at Corbyn - good or bad he won't be given the slightest chance by our media because they're scared he's in touch with the people. Even a second coming of the messiah would have dirt invented and raked over him by the UK media because it would be bad for the economy.

For me it's the " why , who and who to" of leaving which sways me. I never understood the Bally move to Arsenal but was happy to clap him on his first return. Simarly while disappointed Lineker went to Barca , I wished him well and hoped he'd succeed. At the opposite end of the scale were Lescott and Gosling. Someday Stones will move on and I'll have a different reaction if it's to Real Madrid than if it's to Chelsea.

100% agree it's one of the few reasons I like Cristina Kirchner as she has put some manners on the Clarín group who had controlled the media in Argentina like Murdoch does in much of the World. But her media has proven equally and possibly worse in the propaganda stakes
So in Argentina we have two sets of lies instead of one.
But one thing positive is the club's are all member owned which makes it more competitive but without the sugar daddies to buy superstars

That's how it used to be here. People bang on about the EPL being so good, but I find it turgid and predictable. Most teams used to have a hero, hewn out of local granite, who would tear about all match. British teams USED to put fear into other nationals with their unique physical blend of pace, strength and speed. Now we see delicate tippy tappy mercenary superstars diving, feigning injury, waving imaginary cards, cheating and kissing badges, before moving onto the next paycheque.

I really hope and expect that Funes Mori will be one of the ones who isn't like this - because our club doesn't tend to attract or sign those.

In the old days, people built squads over years of careful management if they were to be successful. you'd select players who could play skillfull football on a good pitch in the summer, but equally mix it up in a mudbath in the winter. Today the pitches are near on perfect all year 'round, so we've lost that variety and entertainment. A nothing team from nowhere can be bigged up for dollars by the sugar daddy - and without any of the football related graft, planning and sustained growth, can suddenly buy titles.

It's exactly what happened recently in women's football. For years it was between Everton and Arsenal (previously Doncaster) - who established the sport. Then it became pro and suddenly those nomark teams who had shown precisely zero interest in the sport became big players. The red lot, who were laughably bad, Citteh and Chelski more or less bought Everton ladies and now bang the drum about how brilliant they are. The media are clammering for Man Utd to get a woman's team - beacause, horror of horrors, the BEST womens teams HAVE to come from their darling clubs, or the sky will fall in.

Football is just becoming so damn tedious and predictable because of the sugar daddy, and tramples all over tradition and earned history.

Where's my pitchfork? Time for a revolution!
